Man I’ve probably burnt enough edges to repaint a couple of Jeeps. Those old school detailers went from being unicorns to dinosaurs, hard to find and speak some kind of ancient dialect. In some ways KZbin has lowered the bar, but it’s still all a part of the game. Great conversation guy. 🥂

We have detailers, KZbinrs , Influencers and content creators. The BEST detailers or shop owners have no time to spend on youtube because they're too busy running the business. - If a guy has $2,000 in detail equipment and $20,000 in cameras and lighting well.....

I have paid my dues well and truly and definitely one of the old school guys but not the oldest but still have an open mind. I learned the old school way - had only one pro to teach me but still had to do tonnes of trial and error. But I think I had it easier as an early 1990's starting detailer than those who detailed in the 1950's to 1970's when I came along. the chemicals, polishers and abrasive compounds back then were brutal on those guys. damn heavy metal bodies polishers, crystalline silica abrasives that caused silica and polishing with corn flour/starch or whatever it was and 3000 rpm buffing reflowing acrylic paints till it's liquid almost. Those guys were tough. I've gone through clear coat paint on six cars. 1960's repainted cars, 2000's to mid 2010's cars but it will be even worse with today's 40-90 microns paints. Started on rotary, early adopter to large orbit single head polisher DA in 2007-08. You Tube wasn't around in 1993 to help me start

The real legit detailers on YT stand out. The cats who do work all year long. Some are just pushing product reviews while the other cats push technique and business philosophy more even when they’re showcasing a particular product. Product reviews definitely have their place but I’m trying to soak up techniques and game over the newest rinseless product on the market. Brian from Apex, Miranda’s detailing, Yvan w/DIY, Carlos Serrano, Details. All you guys push technique and game even if a particular product is being showcased. The technique is the video just insert any chemical as needed. Appreciate that about those vids so much more than simple product reviews even tho I soak that up too (saves me the heartache of buying ish product) Born Detailers TV does some dope paint correction content. Homie has me thinkin that ish is easier then it is. Gotta stay in my lane and simmer down with that. 2025 im grabbing a test hood at pick n pull and going to practice real paint correction.

I'm new to the KZbin scene with just over 100 subscibers. I'm doing my best to bring real-world experience, from my perspective, with the chemicals, tools, use-case, and techniques. lol … amusing discussion. If you only wash cars, you’re not a detailer. If you don’t offer full service, you’re not a detailer. If you need to use client’s power/water, you’re not a detailer. If you don’t wear a uniform, you’re not a detailer. If you don’t use boutique products, you’re not a detailer. It’s all white noise. Ultimately … it’s all bullshit. If you’re cleaning a vehicle in any capacity, you’re a detailer. That does NOT make you a professional detailer, though. In order to be a professional detailer, you must be delivering detailing services for profit. Furthermore, you MUST know your craft before you start charging. Can a KZbin detailer be a professional detailer? Yes. Just because they don’t fit your point of view, doesn’t lessen their legitimacy. FAKE detailers … let’s just say, the fakeness comes out in the results. I have seen, first hand, how fake detailers can make your job so much more difficult because they simply didn’t know what they were doing. FAKE KZbin detailers … well … I think it’s fairly obvious who these people are. “All you need is Dawn to detail a vehicle” kinda speaks volumes. 😊😊😊

😮😂😂😂 waow...like I said on one of you videos not too long ago....I kind of lay low, I dont use my socials like I should....but THE MAIN reason im starting my detail business.....is because im really a painter....and I use to see this Cat calling themselves Detailers....and then I have to fix all this youtubecats mistakes on paint....OMG like swirls or burns...especially on Hoods and Doors edges 😂😂....I was like wait this cats really dont know what they are doing and they are calling themselves detailers....so I started and I will say thats my biggest selling point to the customer....if you really want a REAL paint corection, I'm your guy....I'm talking orangepell sanding ,scratches removal etc etc....well again a Real paint corection....people get confuse or mistake what means Paint Corection or Paint Enhance.....great content you guys are touching some topics the I'M REALLY LOVING because you guys are touching some real life problems points.Godbless and keep watering your roots ✌️

In my opinion a detailer is like an automotive tech you have an oil changer that thinks he is a mechanic.you have a car cleaner that thinks he is a detailer .there is a difference.a detailer wears a lot of different hats .knows how to clean different materials carpet fabric paint vinyls plastics leather.
