I love how the myth of the Air Jordan 1 continues so that even Business Insider believes it. The NBA did not ban his shoe. They banned the black and red colorway because it violated their policy. After receiving a warning, Jordan wore AJ1s that were mostly white and did not violate the NBA policy. So no fine was paid because no rule was broken. He only wore the red and black shoes in two pre-season games and in the dunk contest and he was given a warning after those events, and never fined.

I have the air jordans 1 red and the quality is good and the shoe shows good quality after a long time. NBA didnt ban the black and red air jordans one, they meant it to be Michaels old air nike shoes which the colour looks exactly like it. Michael Jordan didn't actually wear the Jordan 1's in his rookie season. He wore Nike Air Ship in a red and black colourway which was against the nba rules. Honestly, check out the rookie season! I just purchased a pair of jordan 1 mids and sat me back £120 so not that bad in really
