I somehow never got around to Norn9 back in the day but now I'm definitely interested in trying it. It doesn't strike me as my style but you and other reviewers who often have similar views as me seem to love it so hopefully I will as well ^^ Also thanks so much for including trigger warnings! I wish more people did since I always prefer knowing about them beforehand rather than potentially being blindsided

Glad to hear you're gonna try out Norn9 ^_^ with regards to trigger warnings, yeah i fully agree. They need normalising in visual novel spheres for so many reasons. Thanks for watching!

I have played on Norn 9 on the vita when it was first localized in NA. I haven’t bought it on switch because of that. I know there are extras and a better translation. But I am focusing on saving up for otome games I haven’t gotten. Akito was probably my favorite character do to how I love tsundere characters. I did really love the concept of three mcs and I guess Sorata counts as an extra kind of mc. Also, voiced mcs which I like since I don’t really self insert so I like when the mc is her own character over the eyeless mcs to self insert. Nothing wrong with self inserting though. I enjoyed the TMGS games and those are self insert otome games. One interesting thing I heard was Mitsuki Saiga who voices Sakuya also voiced a heroine {Azusa} in an unlocalized otome game Harukanaru toki no naka de 6 {still hoping for a localization of that. It is on switch and the only one of the games to be on switch. } So I think Mitsuki Saiga is the only one to voice a LI in an otome and a Heroine?

glad to hear you enjoyed Norn9! That's really cool Saiga voiced both an otome game and LI. I really hope we get a Ruby Party otome game soon! Thanks for watching ^_^

I’ve done my own research on the game and I’ve been doing translations in my spare time, especially Akito’s route in subsequent games and all I can say, without spoiling any details, is that his and Nanami’s relationship does grow stronger in subsequent titles and if you’ve followed their relationship since the start, their Enemies to Lovers dynamic becomes even more satisfying.

I did not finish it yet and while I'm a visual novel guy I am not specifically an otome guy. This said while I love me some "classics" such as Collar x Malice this one I found far less intriguing... probably more character centred and less plot focused? I am not sure, the premise is intriguing, I love the taisho era.. but then Sorata + the unbearable girl got onboard the ship and I lost interest... also they could have included the fan disk together with this one... honestly Aksys was cheap this time around. ;) But I'll get back to it.. I will!

Yeah Norn9 is a lot more character driven than the plot heavy games like CxM. Maybe more character heavy otomes might not be your thing? I'd defo suggest giving it another try down the line regardless though. Yeah Aksys could've done. I don't mind the seperation in this case because we never got Last Era before (or Var Commons physically in Europe), so there's value in buying two seperate releases. Thanks for watching :)
