Just bought a 04 TL 3.2 in April with 240k on it and it’s running amazing. The trans is perfect no slipping at all, The only issue that I keep having is the coolant reservoir cap. It keeps cracking or eventually coming loose so I have to buy another cap every few months. The maintenance isn’t that bad only downfall is the premium gas , make sure to check your ball joints and tie rods and you should be good

I've owned a Base 2006 and a Type-S 2007. Both have been good to me. Been on top of maintainance and do fluid changes regularly. I did buy a 2005 Tl originally as a parts car. And god damn. That car was never maintained. Never cleaned. Had alot of problems. I flipped it and made money off it.

The car is sensitive bro. You really got to be on top of the maintenance. When you're trying to buy one. Make sure the last person took care of it. Other wise, just like any other car. Itll have problems.

Buying a cheap high miles TL is a sign that it will need some work that will cost the owner some money. I own a 08 one that I got in 2015 as 1 owner with 50k miles. Outside routine maintenance & regular wear and tear, it’s been trouble free for me. On the cost of ownership, BMWs are way more expensive to maintain than TL. TL repair bill is little higher than a Honda but it’s not like BMW expensive. BMW repair bills are insanely expensive. They are money pits.

BMW is the first most expensive. Price 17k to maintenance 2. Mercedes. Price 12k 3. Cadillac.. Oh,damn,I almost lose my money because when I have Google/KZbin about Cadillac if it can reach to about 200k,none of those Cadillac reach that much . I saw the price cost 7k with 100k miles. but when I looked at how much will cost to maintaince,so expensive and money pits. 4. Audi. My favorite but not anymore when I see the prices the fix my Audi. 5 Volvo. Those are cars I saw the graphics Your car and some rest of cars Infiniti or Ford somewhere in middle. Those prices are about 8/7k to maintenance. Cheap to maintaince is the last car rank 30( Toyota) about 5K to maintaince. Rank 28 is Lexus. Honda and the rest cheap. Toyota reached almost 300k miles. Maintenance are cheap about 140 to 600.

My 2nd gen has sat nav, heated seats, and what was really good speakers back in early 2ks. Memory seats and electronic everything. Leather seats and trim. I also agree if you have the know how its pretty affordable to replace stuff. I think this car is more for those who are handy rather than those who want a cheap reliable car. Or have an expendable income. That's what the civic is for. Cheap and runs forever.
