I think the one Gloriosa fell in love with was Rocks D. Xebec himself, though the Whitebeard idea does sound somewhat plausible I have my doubts on it, like for starters I feel like if he truly was the one Gloriosa fell for she'd be a lot more expressive when standing right next to him via having the heart eyes effect whilst trying to cling onto him as well whilst also trying physically fight Stussy out of jealousy as well instead of simply relying on a verbal jab, plus there's the fact that Gloriosa didn't have any reaction to Whitebeard's death at Marineford which seems really strange if he truly was her crush, the way I interpret that mini back and forth between the two ladies is Gloriosa, due to her strong womanly pride as a Kuja Empress, calling out Bakkin for being a woman who desperately clings onto men and Bakkin jabbing back by saying Gloriosa has no room to talk because she acts the same way towards Xebec essentially calling her a hypocrite hence why she says "That's rich coming from you Gloriosa"....after Rocks died I think Gloriosa's dream of living with her love was crushed and so she had no choice but to go off on her own

I won't lie. I honestly expected more from the flashback. Guess we'll just have to wait on the "God Valley/Gold Roger" movie, because that's probably the only way we'll get to see it. Aside from that, I really enjoyed the chapter. And I'm not going to read too far into them mentioning rabbits. I'll wait for something more to go off on, I think.

Well, for all we know, Kuma’s flashback is not over yet. I expect tragedy in the upcoming chapters. RIP Jinny, and then RIP Kuma.

@@HiddenForbidden2 Just thought of a silver-lining with this flashback situation. If Oda had continued with the flashback, it wouldn't have ended until sometime next year. I mean, there's quite a lot to go over. Enough for a movie, in fact. Oda knows where the money is. He knows he'll make *way more* with the movie, than with the manga. Can't say I blame him for being business-savvy. But... this means we still have four chapters left in the year. The chances are slim, but if we got that flashback, we wouldn't have gotten Carrot. Not this year, at the very least. There's a possibility she may show up now. Not a great one, but it does exist.

From what have been shown in this chapter, Rocks seems to have had 9 special crew members, just like Luffy does right now. Whitebeard, Shiki, Big Mom, Kaido, Stussy, Gloriosa, Captain John, Ochoku, and Silver Axe. Edit: The giant General Zombie 889 dude can’t be Ochoku, seeing as he was still alive when the Straw Hats went to Thriller Bark. Meaning Chapter 1096 showed 9 special crew members, with the 10th, Ochoku, possibly missing entirely.

If we do, then there are 14 characters presented on that page; The 9 I mentioned, Streussen, Wolverine Claws dude, a Fishman, a random dude with a sword, and a random dude behind Prometheus.
