Thanks! I am really glad I ran into you guys at SEMA. I meant every word I said in this video...the quality and durability of OmniWall is top-notch.

Did you ever look at wall control in your process? have any insight on the differences between the two or why you'd prefer omniwall over the other?
@InJasonsGarage2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I sure did. Wall Control surely makes great products, I know a LOT of people use them. I did like that OmniWall's panels were just a bit thicker (18 gauge vs 20 gauge) and I liked the fact that the panels can be rotated 90 degrees if needed. I also REALLY liked the cleat/stud mounting system that OmniWall has as I showed in this video. Overkill for some, but definitely necessary for others. Being able to talk to them and see the products and attachments in person was a bonus. I am extremely happy with OmniWall since I made this video, I am going to order a ton more for a storage shed I had built that I am converting into a workshop. Been kicking around relocating or even removing some nuts & bolts storage bins on one wall of my garage to put some there. However...my wife totally slammed the door on my idea of putting OmniWall in the bathroom to organize her hair dryers and straighteners or whatever else she has to use...

I can't even afford to get organized in my garage these days.... $1000 for a wall of storage?! Nice product and I wish I could afford it. This is like telling my wife that I need to buy a Ferrari because I need a car.

I have Omniwall which is nice, however I just came across Wall Control and it seems to have better pricing and are having a sale.

I looked at Wall Control first and they do make a decent product for the money. After seeing OmniWall in person, I was sold. It just seemed to be more professional grade that would hold up and I really like the accessory design. After almost 2 years of ownership, the OmniWall kit that I installed still looks new. I am planning on buying another OmniWall kit for my storage shed/workshop soon.

I just wish OmniWall panels could take accessories made for Wall Control as well. I prefer the Omniwall way of stabilizing accessories, but there are a few WC accessories I would love to be able to use too.

That was an upgrade that made me say "wow". I love the push pins to secure the accessories. I hate peg boards that don't keep my tools secure. I currently use the same clips you showed and most of the time they work. But on occasion they fail and I become agitated. All I want is the tool, not a hook that is now on the floor. Thanks for the information about this product.

The one above my workbench? It is by a company called Hyperikon...but unfortunately, they have been out of business for a while. Yet, the one you see in the video has been running 24 hours a day for YEARS. Maybe this will help to get you started on finding something like it... amzn.to/4e6Oo8S

Did you consider Wall Control at all. I am curious if accessories are interchangeable.
@InJasonsGarage4 жыл бұрын
Yes, I did but I simply like the quality and features of OnmiWall better personally. I don't _think_ the accessories are interchangeable...they might but I don't know for sure. It sure would be cool if they were!

Jason, Thank you for the response. After watching your video the one key difference that has me leaning toward Omni is the mounting system. I like the ledger bar top and bottom. Also I’m in agreement on the accessories. I likely going with Omni since I currently only have two walk control panels. 👍🏻

Our accessories are not compatible with wall control. When we were in the development phase of OmniWall we took a hard look at them. We actually found their tab design to be insufficient in strength. If you look through their catalog of accessories, you will notice that nothing extends off the wall more than 6"-8". We wanted to have at least 12" shelves and we have some 18" shelves in the works now. We went with our own independent design for this reason and a few others.

So, it seems this setup is flexible for screwing into studs that have 24-inch studs, right?
@InJasonsGarage3 жыл бұрын
Sure, as long as the cleat spans at least two of studs but even if it doesn't, you can install it in drywall.

Looks like all of the "ON SALE" prices as of today are higher than they were just a few months ago. But it looks like the % discount is higher too because the raised the "before" price slashed out by a lot also. As of now: 3 Panel Omni Kit was $265.25 and is now $238.67 Weekend Warrior Kit was $719.99 and is now $575.99 In your video: 3 Panel Omni Kit was $259.99 and is now $220.99 Weekend Warrior Kit was $599.99 and is now $509.99 In such a short time they have had such a big price increase.
@InJasonsGarage4 жыл бұрын
As you might suspect, I don't have any insight to that, Greg. I am thinking that simply everything had to be adjusted due to the supply chains and cost of materials, etc. Either that or they had better pricing before because they were newer to the market and then had to increase them as they grew. Pretty common, I would say. Either way, the stuff is top notch indeed. I use it every day and have had no problems.
@omniwall16464 жыл бұрын
Greg, Were are adjusting pricing as we go for 2 major reasons. 1. We have been in the sheet metal business for over 50 years, but just jumped head first into the fulfillment business last fall with OmniWall. Our packing and shipping costs have been a little higher than expected and we went to free shipping as well. 2. With everything going on in the world we are continuing to have staffing issues. We have actually been hiring since February, but cannot fill roles fast enough. Have a great day!

Hey Jason. Cool stuff, I'm looking to purchase several panels as well, but I'm concerned how difficult the pins are to remove to relocate the accessories and are they single use like most automotive plastic pins. I'm always tweaking things so they would move often. Thanks!
@InJasonsGarage4 жыл бұрын
Just like on a car, the "christmas tree" pins need a little work to remove and don't always keep their shape after a few times, but the two-piece style are pretty easy to remove and reuse. I like the idea that if I need more, I can just go out and buy a box of them as they are so common.
@omniwall16464 жыл бұрын
Steven, We have since switched all of our components to the two-piece OmniClip that Jason referred too. We suggest setting everything up and waiting a few weeks before you lock all your accessory OmniClips in. Most all of us here at OmniWall are hands on guys and we all move our stuff, in our own garages, around all the time. Have a great day!

it is pretty high quality, I am loving it. Not flimsy or cheap in any way so it is well worth the cost in my opinion. Plus it is so modular you can buy small kits and add them together over time.
