I can relate to this big time I did the criminal mastermind original challenge with the OG heists without dying and my first attempt was on the final part of Pacific Standard. Literally parachuting off the bridge to get to the boat 30 seconds from the finish. Someone didn’t open their parachute. Livid

I also died one time because of the parachute part. Something got wrong when I jumped out of the vehicle and I was able to open my parachute BUT my character landed on the top of a big rock and there was no way to jump from it without dying (and of course the parachute works only once).

3:52 a tip for anyone doing this trophy: if you die immediately close application, this prevents the game from reseting your progress. keep in mind every teammate has to do this or they will lose their progress aswell. good luck

@@OiiLuke tip:if you die during setups and finales quickly(you and your teammates) close the application so it wont get reset. However it dosent work when your personal vehicle explodes while you were inside of it

This reminds me one day, I selected "random mission" on my phone (because I wanted to do a... random mission) and I joined the finale of the Doomsday Heist Act III. And the funny thing is that we actually made it (with only 2 or 3 retries). I guess the other ones who were playing this knew each other and I was the "random guy" ^^

I feel that pain. I remember I did the 2-player one, got to the last mission like you guys did and then enemies spawned out of nowhere and killed me. I got so pissed, I didn't even bother playing the Doomsday Heist for a whole year and now, I want to try and do it again since it's the only trophy I have left to get for GTA on PS4.

i've done the old heits criminal master mind a few times with many friends and it's pretty consistent, but the doomsday heist is rng, at any point any npc can do a "death burst"and i'll be insta killed... sucks that this "feature" never was fixed

I done this ages ago and it was so annoying because it would bug out some times and the award wouldn’t progress after completing a mission so we had to restart it all. Best to get the wind farm facility as it’s kinda close to all the missions and all the final heist. I thought the elite challenge achievement was a lot harder to complete than this one because you have to rush the heist and rushing it kills you a lot.

When my crew was doing the Khanjali setup one of them got shot so we closed the app and only two of use had our progress saved sadly. We still finished the challenge but those 2 lost their progress 😢.

I have yet to complete the 3 player and 4 player CM because I still can't find 2 people that can endure hours or trial and error, but playing it with a friend is already hard on its own. We looked up multiple guides and had to do dry runs with hacking and trying multiple vehicles to make sure we got the best time heading into the first checkpoint of each finale.

I’m rank 560, played on and off for 9 years and I have everything in the game, and with 150 million in the bank from just grinding the game, done OG criminal mastermind and all elite challenges for all the heists in the game, even completed all story mode trophies and stuck at 98%, I’m just missing The Doomsday Heist Criminal Mastermind. I’ve attempted it in the past but it randomly resets my challenge for no reason and nobody died either. Nobody is daring enough to try this. It’s not hard at all, and I enjoy doomsday but finding people to do it is just as hard. This is the only thing I have left to do and after getting this mastermind done, I can peacefully retire from GTA 5, and just wait for GTA 6.

Here's something you didn't know, you can call 911 to call an ambulance, and it will come to you, so you can stand outside your facility, wait for the ambulance and finish the prep in 1 minute And you can eat snacks and put on armor when your weapon wheel is open

i did the original cmm challenge with a friend like 5-10 times. we were pretty good at this so we figured we could help people while taking in exchange the big cuts. the other 2 would get the 10mil obviously. during the challenges we met a decent amount of good people.

When you die you should quit the app before it actually says someone died and you won’t have to restart everything, just the mission

This challenge is IMPOSSIBLE without a solid communication between all 4 players. The best chances would be if all 4 are in the same room. Also if you die is best to quickly turn off the game. A dedicated program is a must have so you just press 2 keys and the game is instantly killed from Task Manager. For console players idk. I remember it took me a week to finish Criminal Mastermind on the first 5 heists. You always have to stock up snacks and body armor and is best if all players have high skills and are above lvl 130

​@@OiiLuke Yeah, but the Criminal Mastermind Challenge (CMM) is just like Super Meat Boy; it's all about muscle memory. Once you've made some attempts (even if failing), you'll eventually beat it. However, I must say that I've completed all of my runs on console (PS4), which is a lot easier since you can quit out of the game if someone on your team dies, and thus the progress won't be reset. But I still remember not dying a single time in some runs (CMM 2 and 4) since it became very easy over time, and on PC, it may be easier to kill enemies. However, I still lost multiple runs due to team members forgetting to quit or dying in personal vehicles (which will autosave, thus the progress will be saved instantly, and quitting out won't work anymore) or network issues, teammates quitting out of the game thinking that someone on our team died, or just some many weird bugs (like the Rapid Fire Bug) that can happen during setups. Most of the runs were during Acts 2 and 3, which was really frustrating. I've tried to boost the trophy with randoms, and most of the time, people did not have time to do it in one sitting, and due to time zones, it was sometimes also pretty hard to find a fitting time for everyone. But overall, it was still very fun even though I've probably lost about 24 hours or so, but I've found a pretty nice and chill group after some time and with that group, I've finally managed to beat it. That's why I also did multiple CMM runs even though I had already beaten CMM2 before because someone in our group did not have CMM2 and didn't want to find a different teammate that might be inexperienced or unable to communicate. I know that the text sounds really over the top and nobody asked, but the trophy is all about the will for putting in a lot of time. Because like I said, it's only a matter of time and eventually everyone is able to beat it.
