You didn't listen to the video. Mr. Forbes didn't say anything of the sort. It's the bureaucrats who have their own agenda & instead of going to a vote in Congress will curry favor by Gov't. agencies to enact their 'wish list'. The biggest abuser of their Office is the EPA & the CDC. Like Mr. Forbes said, it costs the American People & Businesses $T's a year. Has nothing to do w/ corporations getting their 'way'. That's whiner talk.

The People of this country are the problem. They continually vote for politicians who promise to use government in a manner other than that which the Founding Fathers designed it to do. The ENTIRE 4th branch of government, the administrative state, the alphabet soup, is UNCONSTITUTIONAL, and should not even exist. The THREE branches defined in the US Constitution can do everything that our federal government was designed to do. This unconstitutional 4th branch of government was designed to funnel all of your money into projects that benefit the rich and powerful, and I don't think anyone can reasonably say that they all still serve any other purpose than unconstitutional control of the economy and the People of this country.

Time for congress to actually get off its butt and do the job they were hired to do.... legislate, not pass the buck to unelected agencies. It would be great if everyone passing the laws were experts, but that is not how the constitution is written...but that should not stop congress from consulting with the experts and then passing the needed laws. We need to be holding congresses feet to the fire to make sure they are doing their jobs.

This ruling on Chevron Deference didn't do that,it left in place all of the rules and regulations made under Chevron Deference before this new ruling,I remember when there was no Chevron Deference, the Clean Air Act was being enforced and the rivers, Iakes and streams were being cleaned up and any rules or regulations put into effect before this new ruling remains in effect,anything new will have to be written up in legislation by Congress in a clear,concise manner which is what Congress was supposed to be doing to start with,if Congress needs help they can have public hearings and call experts to testify and then decide which experts opinions they will go with when they write legislation.

@kimthibeau8354 You are going a little too fast. While one can agree that bureaucrats should not be ruling and the controlling agencies should not be creating work for themselves, a different problem is being created by letting loose corporate power. Ask Boeing about the missing bolts or rivets and what the FAA did in the past about it even when a semblance of regulation was in place. Now, the industry will be free to do as they please and nobody will regulate the trains that get off the rails or the airplane doors that fly out. The flood gates have been opened, profit yes; public interest can wait. It is ridiculous to assume that private corporations will self regulate without looking at the bottom line first.

We are guaranteed in writing enshrined in our constitution that we will always be a Republic as stated by article 4 section 2 of the u.s. constitution during the constitutional convention in Philadelphia between May and September 1796 the delegates argued long and hard about what form of government the new nation should take. The article of confederation that had governed the United States after the Revolutionary war ended had created a very weak central government that had no power to manage trade print a single currency or pass or enforce laws that all the States would universally agree to. It was a nation on the verge of collapse that sounds familiar huh?. I could go on . You can read this yourself I read the whole dam thing all their arguments . Ask yourself how you did we get here!

Fact: doing away with federal agencies would allow large corporations to require unlimited work hours, no safety regulations, no health insurance, pesticides in your water, lead in your air, no public schools, no safety standards, operate in banking without regs, poisonous food production, no consumer safety, and operate as they pleased. Every individual for themselves. Without agency regulations every federal court would be inundated with cases to overturn codes and regulations. Each federal court district and state supreme court would issue different decisions. That would basically stop economic growth in the U.S. as every corporation, state, county, federal entity tried to interpret rules and regulations. Guaranteed anarchy and free fall economy.

@douglaskaye1395 corporations aren't people, even if they lobbied enough to have it written into law. These rules and regulations aren't for you, me, or anyone else trying to actually work hard for a living in this country. They're for the rich that are benefiting from this overturn. The rich that want to be able to do whatever they want. Biden should expand and pack the Supreme Court now to at least stop the bleeding of laws that were enacted by the appropriate powers. The current Supreme Court is corrupt, with their eyes on the goal of taking away anything that helps or protects private individuals over corporations and the rich. Go figure they were put into power by someone who's considered to be a rich, shrewd, businessman.

I think this will make politicians do their job to remove ambiguity from their laws. Purposely passing laws to manipulate an ambiguity loophole so that their "expert" can call shots is ripe for corruption. This is important for my state where they want to get rid of Natural Gas as a fuel source citing cherry picked data that split hairs for efficiency. Millions of homes have natural gas water heaters, dryers and ranges vs electric and would be forced to eventually change over at their own cost. It hit the new construction industry first as now they had to redesign floorplans to allow for larger water heater storage because no new construction was allowed to put in gas water heaters and any new construction that hadn't sold was retrofitted with electric water heaters at builder cost. Just pass along the costs to consumers for a misguided attempt at "going green". What about emissions taxes on older vehicles that punish the poor who can't buy teslas in my state. There are so many things that should have gone to court but didn’t and made life hard for millions based on "expert" opinion.
@AliceGraham-ig3fv
@AliceGraham-ig3fv 14 күн бұрын
This statement is dishonest or ignorant or both. Agencies do not legislate law. They create regulations drafted by people familiar with the job of the particular agency, that are persuasive but not controlling on the courts. Taking away power from the agencies allows more power to the courts. With the present status of the federal courts, this is excellent for big business and horrible for consumers. It's too bad more people don't understand the terrible implications of this decision.
