Why painting large size when using wet on wet watercolor technique?

Yes this is true. If you want to have the fur experience you need the room lol. Also, every paper is different. I haven’t been very successful with this process but I am waiting for the Arches paper to arrive so I can try it on that. I’m so excited!! 🙌

Thanks for sharing this 🙏 when you say large could you please say approximately how large? Is 9x12" a good size to start or do you go larger than that?.

Hi, Thanks for the question. It is depend on what you are painting. Cat: i would go real size cat, so minimum 14x20 but i usually work on 22x30 inches. For baby chick also real size, face just slightly smaller than real size. This is for wet on wet where you need space to allow for spreading and flowing of the paint.

www.dickblick.com/items/fluid-easy-block-watercolor-paper-block-18-x-24-15-sheets/ but it is a hard paper, not fun. Arches are nicer, and good for the fur effect. I cant help with colors because it depend on paper, paint brand ect, but most color doing it fine.

Hi, It was the horadam transparent orange. Exactly the same what I am usually using in cat videos. Other brands have very similar colors too.

@@barbaramilbradt2188 If you paint cats i would say lamp black, but if not it depend on what are you into, and what else you have. My favorite brand is daniel smith, not because it is better paint than horadam (they are both awesome) but daniel smith has the best color selection and what i mean they are not just colors, but many different paint structure and behaviour. They sell test package, all the 238 colors is on, and it is totally worth it to play and then choose colors. Amazon also (i think blick too) sell those and aprox 30$.KZbin has videos on it.
