ADHD version: Fans hate Red Bull for pumping their teams with money to achieve success, for abusing the 50+1 rule (and some other scummy stuff). Klopp is now Global Head of Soccer at Red Bull. Thus Klopp is now part of Red Bull so is hated too.

5:48 hoffenheim definitely to a bigger extent. While Wolfsburg has been an established side in the german game and it was tolerated that it is a private club bc it initially was founded as a club for the workers of a factory, hoffenheim is a textbook example of a billionaire's football club, with it being a sunday league side which was purchased by a local billionaire who then bought his way to Bundesliga.

As a Brazilian, I have to say that RB Bragantino is nowhere near as hated as the other Red Bull teams appear to be... Yes, they've completely rebranded the club, but they've brought back a team from that region to the national elite. Most of the local fanbase continued supporting the club because Red Bull put them back into the map of Brazilian football. They've been consistent in the top flight, and have even reached a Sudamericana final (our Europa League equivalent), as well as having some nice young players... Of course, there are different views, but that's how I (and many other Brazilians) see it
@gandrod50

It still has the same fans and the same passion, just a rebranded logo and a different leadership. And nevermind klopp doesn't deserve any hate in this, it's literally just a job you weirdos, it's not like he supports red bull's ideas 💀💀💀

And regardless I see RB takeovers as good as they give small teams a fighting chance. It would just mean bayern and dortmund will stay at the top because the rich get richer and there's a huge gap in funding and fans between the rest of the league and these 2 teams. 8:30 unfortunately RBs youth development is actually not as good if you pull back the curtains. They didn’t actually have any kind of youth team until very recently, instead relying on poaching young talent away from other clubs. So a smaller club would put in effort to develop a player with him going through the youth ranks, and then RB would swoop in and offer the player a contract that his parent club cannot match with their financial restrains, which RB is not bound by. So in the end their youth development is only so good because they have an unfair advantage over other clubs, for example with their multi club ownership (which not every club can do) and also a huge amount of money that they shouldn’t have compared to their peers. But in the end it’s still a good video with good points. I get what you were trying to say, but I just had to get this off my chest.

For all the non-Germans, this is like Klopp joining City Football Group as head of football. Personally, this didn't come to me as a surprise since Klopp is known in Germany for advertising every product under the sun during the Bundesliga coverage, including a shady insurance company doing ponzy schemes. Another aspect is that apparently Matteschitz, the founder of Red Bull, asked him to perform this role in 2022 before passing away. Important to note here that Matteschitz is known for his right wing ideology in Austria. Considering Klopp portrayed himself as a man of the people this is also a quite shocking. Overall, the Dortmund (and German fans in general) have disowned Klopp as the nations darling which he's been for quite a while now...

It's not that complicated. German football is meant to be for the fans and the 50+1 rule keeps clubs from being used as a vehicle for sportswashing, for tickets to be raised too high for fans to afford or to be hijacked for non-footballing reasons. RB Leipzig is the exact opposite of being football for the fans; they are using the beautiful sport to advertise their energy drink. They think of football as nothing but good advertisement instead of a legitimate, fun to watch sport and so people hate the club. And they hate it when people join the club. Ergo, they hate Klopp.

Nothing wrong with hating on the man now, if you liked him before but don't now, that's because you are true to your morals and values. Klopp has betrayed his own values, because any man that affiliates themselves with such an organisation has betrayed their love of the game.

Isn't there the Ralf Rangnick connection. It's his former post and Kloop probably wants to build on that. He has spoken highly if Rangnick before hasn't he? But it looks really bad and he probably knows it.

Lmao Red Bull does not promote talent in an ethical way. They use the same scummy multi-club ownership model used by clubs like City and Palace (I think Liverpool has also gone into this tomfoolery last I heard, would explain Klopp's decision).

You see thats the entire problem with RB. They built a big fancy high class academy in Leipzig and produce NOTHING out of it. The only player that is still with them from that time is Poulsen. Everyone else was bought externally, Adeyemi too. He was first kicked out from Bayern Munichs academy and joined Unterhaching. He then joined RB Salzburg as a 16 year old. Dortmund signed him from Salzburg btw.

@@nxtgnrtn8225 They rather sell there prospects like Chabot, Demirovic, Krauß, Martel etc. & Salzburgs academy produced a lot. & how many teams have players that have been as long as them as Poulsen & even in different divisions? Also Klostermann, Forsberg (until this Jan), Gulacsi, Orban are for a long time there now. Anyway, I sympathize with Chemie, but 40 so called fans attacked a fan bus of a village club last weekend in the Saxony cup & this is exemplary while Lok is just too right wing hence RB is really refreshingly family friendly & especially a top flight club playing exiting football.

I am a RB Leipzig fan, and while I understand the criticism of my team, and actually think many of them are warranted, I think RB is FAR more ethical than teams like PSG, City, Newcastle, as while we are owned by a brand that clearly cares little for the history of the teams they acquire, looking instead to completely build their own, they don’t weaponize that history to justify terrible regimes overseas and sports wash their atrocities. RB is unapologetic in its corporatism, and I think it makes sense for us to be the bad guys, but its ownership doesn’t have any more nefarious motives than FSG or any other owner looking to make money by growing a club into a successful team. And while it’s true Leipzig does spend more than many teams, and that is essentially the whole reason we got to the first division, I don’t believe this is why we have been in the champions league every season (bar 1) since we got to the first division, I believe our wage bill is 4th out of German clubs as is our net spend during our time in the bundesliga, and while that is significant investment, I believe we have had a positive transfer spend for most of our time in the bundesliga (again we definitely bought our way there no arguments here, I’m talking about since getting here) and Leipzig has had some of if not the outright best scouting and combined development out of all the teams in Europe, our record transfer fee, Openda, is the closest thing to a finished product I have ever seen my team buy, and yet our team is always full of players who are ready and prepared to play on the biggest of occasions and rarely does our team not show up. I get we a ethically far from Klopp (and most of Europe, particularly Germany) but we are also in terms of just sporting everything you want to see from a team, we play attacking football, create most of our talent, doing so with enough regularity to sell some of our best players every year without missing a beat. I don’t expect us to be loved, or even respected by most football fans, but Leipzig in particular bought its license, not the team, from a football club that was founded only 19 years prior, playing at no higher than 5th division football, and while I understand a fan from say Hamburg feeling pissed that a team with no history bought its way to the bundesliga while they are giants stuck in the second division, we didn’t cheat to get here, we broke no rules. And for English fans in particular whose teams are almost always owned by foreign investment groups who looks to spend big to move to the epl as fast as possible, it seems hypocritical to me for us to be so hated. Admittedly there are other reasons as well, such as RB owning 3 other teams, one in Brazil, one in the US and a recently acquired team in Japan (Sazburg it technically no longer owned by RB due to Uefa regulations and a desire to keep Leipzig over Salzburg, but the club remains sponsored and clearly tied) but I would be a bad supporter if I didn’t defend my club.
