Gotta say he has a point: How is he supposed to be held to the street code when the code was already broken. They were literally out to kill him already, so what did he have to lose? What were they going to do, kill him twice?
@Select2Play

If you're a gang member sleeping with someone else's girl and not liking your friend may be bad, but cooperating with the cops is the same as signing your own death warrant no matter your situation, its literally the biggest rule. Dudes definitely been living on borrowed time ever since he did that.
@dsan17
@dsan17 Жыл бұрын

@@Select2Play When they're already out to kill you, there is no incentive not to snitch, though. The cops can at least offer some kind of protection, where not snitching now means no one having your back. And all the other reasons why you don't snitch don't apply here: The people he snitched on lied to him, stole from him, tried to kill him, and slept with his girl. How can he be expected to be loyal to people who have been betraying him from day one? The No Snitching rule is about not snitching on your friends or your crew. These people were neither.
@Select2Play
@Select2Play Жыл бұрын
@@FirstLast-cg2nk the no snitching rule is about never cooperating with the cops, regardless if it's against a friend or an enemy. Real gangsters die in jail without ever saying anything about what they know even if they were the scapegoat. Him being all buddy with the cops gets the attention of people who otherwise wouldn't care about him and are far more dangerous that his old friends, which puts not only him but his close family in danger as well if he cares at all about that. The dude will be done the second he decides to go cheap on bodyguards.

I could be misinterpreting "street rules" right now but... I guess it's not snitching if you are already marked for death and the gang leaders are power-tripping and overstepping boundaries. That was a genius move because the police would take care of a big part of the gang and give them trouble for years. Problem is, if the judiciary system releases some members or can't keep'em in prison for normal law technicalities and the gang gets up on it's feet, what will 69 pull off next? He's nobody's escape goat or cash cow anymore and most people from each side of the social border do not have a good opinion on him. I'd buy a "power leveler" and hire hitmen to get rid of this thorn piece by piece, taking advantage of what's left of his career money. If I have to look over my shoulder for the rest of my life, then I will make YOU look over your shoulder for the rest of your (short) life.

As someone who doesn't live the lives that these people do, it's extremely surreal to me. Sure, they have wealth attained by drugs, violence, and cheating each other in many ways, but I just can't fathom the desire to start beef with dangerous people or associating with them. As I don't know him personally, I don't wish death upon him or enjoy seeing him getting beaten up, maybe he deserves it maybe he doesn't, it's not for me to say. But I do agree that he chose this lifestyle, whether or not 6ix9ine is a persona or what he really is like no longer matters, as the wrong crowds have their sights on him.

The fact that his own gang tried to kill him kinda shows a bit more context on why he snitched. They were using each other but there was no minimal respect. That said, I can also see why Ninetreys wanted him off him. 69's mouth wasn't doing the gang any favors and would have landed them in hot water sooner or later so they tried to cash everything out.
@shadowcaptaincain
@shadowcaptaincain Жыл бұрын
The whole I snitched cause you were disloyal argument isn't going to cut it. If someone is fucking you over and trying to kill you, you go and try to kill them first. You address violence with violence. Problem for 69 is he is a phony, and doesn't have the balls to take someone out. Now he is universally green lit, meaning every gangbanger out there isn't going to pass up an opportunity to take him out, and become a legend among his fellow gang members. Being the one who takes out a famous snitch carries a whole lot of clout with it.
@offset7711
@offset7711 Жыл бұрын
but clout for what? You'll end in prison for the rest of your life but atleast you got clout. I really dont understand gang logic. It sounds like you are the hero of your gang if you completely throw your life away and if you succeed and make cash then its totally okay for your gang to take advantage of you and kill you if you are not needed anymore. To me it seems that these gangs exist to keep everyone down and to keep prisons filled.

@@offset7711 You're a hundred percent correct. But when you are raised to believe this kind of life is a good thing, or is the only viable future for you, and it's beaten and reinforced into your head everyday, this is the path you go. And things and people glorify this lifestyle on camera, and this just further reinforces that this lifestyle is a good thing.
