Hotels in Phuket are relatively cheap compared to western countries, and you dont need 3000 baht a night to have a good time, i can spent around 1500 baht on bangla road and have a good time, the best exchange booth is on the corner of bangla road and beach road the one you showed in the video,they give you the best rates, some things are expensive but ive been going there every year since 2000 and i love it,best to go in off season.

@@planetfacts2530 November - April are considered peak season. Late summer, April - June is very hot and humid with scattered HEAVY rain showers. Off season (July to October) is monsoon season. In short, May is the beginning of the off season, but will likely still be busy and also very hot and wet. I'd wait until winter in November for the best tourist population and comfort levels. I got home yesterday from a two week stay in Bangkok and Patong. Average temp was 34 -35 degrees Celsius with 78% humidity. It was very busy in both locations. I did not want to leave. When I return next year, I will wait for Songkran, the Thai New Year celebration April 13-15th.

Very good video Arsen. I would normally spend 2 weeks in Phuket on my trips but have been spending only 3-4 days there on recent trips. It has become too crowded, noisy and expensive. Probably will bypass Phuket altogether this August and go somewhere else.

Patong is always like that. Now only more crowded. So it depends on what you want. If you’re into nightlife then sure there it is. Looks like Patpong in Bangkok couple years back. But it’s still possible to have a vacation in serene area, enjoy deep blue sea and relax. How about Koron Beach or Nai harn? There are so much to offer nature and history. See where the good hotels or villas are not nightclub then it’s really different world

We spent 1week in Phuket after 4 days in bangkok & 6 days in chiang mai in jan/ feb. We were in Kata beach which was busy but ok. However we will not do Phuket again . Next time we will explore the more island locations . So much to see

Glad I went to Krabi where it was super chill. I stayed on Railay, which is only accessible by boat, which knocks down the tourism a lot. You can also do pretty much the same boat trips from Krabi, leaving from the beaches there. I need to see what other parts of Phuket are more chill so I can do my next trip from that side and hit other islands.

I was in Phuket with my family in October 2023. That was the best time for less crowds and prices. I stayed for four days. Our Itinerary was. Day-1: 2pm - Check-In at hotel 4pm - 7pm - Patong Beach 7pm - 10pm - Bangla Road Day-2: 7am - 6pm - Phi Phi Island Tour Day-3: 7am - 7pm - River Rafting, ATV and Elephant Tour Day-4: 9am - 11am - Tiger Kingdom 12pm - 4pm - Aquaria & Trick Eye 5pm - 6pm - Dolphins Bay (Show) 7pm - 10pm - Chilva Night Market (Shopping) Day-5: 9am - Check-out the Hotel 11:45am - Return Flight to Bangkok

Of all the places to stay in Phuket, unless you want to party, why would you recommend staying in Patong? The wonderful thing about Phuket is the different areas offer different amenities in different budgets to pretty much accommodate any type of travel except discount being as Thailand is also feeling global price increases. Patong beach for example is just the same as Pattaya with little shade and too much clutter. If you are one for sun bathing heading south is nicer, places like Nai Harn offer shady areas and relaxing shops to grab fresh Thai food while the beach is clean and accessible. Phuket is great and Thailand is amazing. The coolest thing about it here is the diversity of locations and how close they are to one another. I’m not knocking your content I just wanted to share this perspective. Great video, awesome quality 👏

I was one of the lucky ones who could enjoy Phuket during the Pandemic in 2021. I did stay there for 1 year! It was the paradise on earth at that time. Then I travelled there again in June/July 2023. Even it was low season, Phuket turned into a night mare. It was packed with crazy people (mostly Russians, Indians). In high season it is even more crowded and it becomes extreme expensive. Never will go there again.

Thailand is getting very expensive in general. The Thai people are lovely but they’re desperate to get your money. Phuket is a great place to base yourself for a holiday. Plenty of things to do like day trips and places to see not to mention all the wonderful food options. Never had a problem swimming in the sea but the water isn’t the clearest you will see on your trip. You can always find cheaper options and it’s a great place to stay. Bangla Road is a tacky tourist trap but you don’t have to go anywhere near it to have a good time. Maybe it’s even the time to skip Thailand and go to Vietnam or Laos. First flew into Bangkok more than 35 years ago and it’s clear to see Thailand has changed. Not for the better.
