This has been a most interesting video for me. I used a Dickey John seed monitor the first year they were sold . They had MANY problems. Dickey John was a small compeny formed by farmers just south of Springfield Illinois, and were the for runners of all seed monitoring . I was told John Deere bought them out and went from there. I am 88 years old and long since retired but sure enjoy your video.

I so look forward to your first planting video every year and have done so since your first post when you were planting in April of 2020 at which time I right away subscribed. Love your enthusiasm for farming which I share. The main reason I chose farming as a career is that I really like raising, especially corn, and soybeans in the Midwest. Very familiar with your and Grant's machinery and I watch and enjoy your videos with intensity. I understand that the planting time is stressful as you have so much riding on it, but I'd encourage you, once it's done to give it up to God and it's His problem at that point. I borrowed a seed drill ounce and the owner had not used in a while. Started sewing the seeds and noticed I was missing a few rows. By the time I got everything sorted out, I found caterpillar cocoons clogging the feed tubes. My solution to this dilemma was to change the hoses to clear food grade see throughs. This made it easier to inspect the hose for obstructions. 🤔🤔😁
