i think the best fix for moon would be to change the pip cost of shift spells into 1pip and 1archmastery pip of the school based on the damage it’s doing. for polynorphs… i mean realistically there’s no saving them unless they just changed them into shifts or completely revamped stats and spells like you said in the video

That makes a lot of sense I forgot about the shift spells and that's a really good idea using archmastery to fix them. I've only ever seen them used in pvp sometimes and even then they aren't exactly great lol but I'd love for them to be good. Maybe incorporate more gambit stuff like the magic weaving they just introduced

This is neat. Though my idea is to just have polymorphs not change your base stats, and maybe just add a 10% buff to the element of the polymorph (Storm cat gives 10% storm buff ontop of what you have for example) giving players a reason to learn the polymorphs of their elements. And maybe just give 3-5 polymorph spells over their main spells.

I like that idea though idk if 10% is enough to use the other schools attacks lol because my highest dude has a ton of school damage but the other schools only have like 20 or 30 damage so maybe if it increased the other school proportionally and decreased your main ones then it would be a big enough change to warrant the morph. It’s a really solid idea though I think whatever kingsisle decides to go with it’ll be better than how it is now haha. Thanks for commenting! Edit I just noticed you meant that it’ll add to your damage so if you’re storm it’ll add 10% to your storm damage my bad though that seems a bit more in line with the star school and amplify does that with 15% universally. I think polys were their first concept for dual schooling. At this point they need to go ahead and remake the moon school entirely. At least the first half

cool idea. to be brief, and from a game design perspective, it is too cluttered. assume i’m a storm wiz and my stats have me at 100 storm dmg. i think polymorphs should stay at 6 rounds, and when i shift into say an ice gobbler, my mastery school temporarily becomes ice, and my storm dmg becomes my ice dmg. that combined with auditing other passive stats like health and resist, plus the cards given in the polymorph keep the ability to draw from side deck, and replace any pet will casts with a 1 pip exit polymorph early spell that plays after the card you choose that turn

Yea that's what I figured when I was first putting it together there is a lot of stuff on the screen at the same time and that would definitely need to get tweaked. I like the idea of having your stats be converted to different schools though I think that might be kind of nuts since storm has the highest overall damage being able to convert your damage directly to ice would be nuts since you'd have higher ice damage than any ice wizard could ever achieve. Maybe having the stats scale kind of like what I was saying with the health in the video then I would be totally on board with this. I also really like the idea of having a card specific to morphing back to the player though I think it should be in the polymorph deck by default rather than having it be connected to the pet. I like incorporating other mechanics together definitely but having the morph-back-to-player mechanic which would be pretty huge/necessary locked behind having a pet with a specific type of talent would really suck if a new player was discovering that for the first time lol But yea thanks for commenting I really like your ideas!

I think the shift spells were headed in the right direction. if they reduced the rounds you polymorph to 2 or 3 and gave them a curated deck of 7 then I think they could see some use and not be completely terrible. the idea you gave is great but might be a bit busted if you can just willy nilly transform and pop tons of blades and traps and other utility spells you normally don't have access to on whatever school you chose.

Yea I think the shift spells were cool another comment was talking about changing them to use archmastery to cast since 3 pips is a bunch for spells that aren't really that great. Shortening the polymorph length would definitely help I think they're just too squishy even then. The only polymorph with universal block is the gobbler and its only 34% and the resist is 35%. Even in just grizzleheim some of the bosses hit like trucks so most the polymorphs would be useless; the mander minion only has 2000 health and no resist and only 10$ block. I think they just need a rework idk if just tweaks would help at this point

It would be great if they added "polymorph enemy" spells. Even if the morph only lasted two to three rounds that would be super handy.

It'd be cool if polymorphing strictly added stats. Ice polymorphs could add 500 HP 20% universal resist and 20% ice resist. Storm could add no defensive stats, but 20 universal and 20 storm damage and some crit. Right now polymorphs both lower your stats and give you a worse spell deck, so inverting the effect on stats would be cool. Alternatively they could add some stronger spells to the polymorph's deck like some of the crazier item cards we've seen

i think its good if you wanna help your friend lvl up without really ruining his gameplay like diff polymorph for diff area of the game yah like a support system too goo too his lvl in a fight without 1 shotting the boss with a 150 lvl spell

I've thought about that too and I'm going to make a video on it sometime later. I don't think the polymorphs should scale but I think there should be an option in groups to scale everyone down to the lowest player's level. Kind of like the final world dungeons whenever you want to farm for spellements. But yea I think you're right when it comes to having more options for questing with lower level friends besides making a new wizard or other janky methods

I think they're a certain balance to the game they need to maintain. I don't want them to necessarily be better than the sun school or the star school I just think they should at least be usable. If they were op and made the game trivial I don't think that would be good at all and would take a lot of fun out of it. I understand that nothing will beat the good ol blade blade blade aoe strat and I don't think polymorphs should have to compete with it. It's important to have variance though. I appreciate you commenting I like seeing other perspectives when it comes to this.
