The only sign that i know im going to fizzle (for fire) is that when the flame particles go pale or dying out, but when successfully casted the flame particles give vibrant and bright firey-orangey flaming red.

Fun fact about the fizzle effects, death is the only school whose fizzle effect has a visual component too, that small dot in the center of the sigil will be completely opaque while when it's not fizzling will fade out Second regarding the Arcanum, I wanted to point out there's no teachers, they're scholars, folk dedicated to learning more about magic, and creating more not necessarily reaching or specifically saving the world

It was likely changed because “Dr Von’s monster” is much easier to spell than “Katzenstein’s monster” when trying to communicate to the group in chat that you’re using the 9 pip death spell

not only does the sound of the casting animation is different, the look of the class icons are different too, the death one is by far the easiest to tell. As i play i learn them more and more.

This. All of the icons get a subtle smokiness to their visuals before they fizzle, but the Death one straight up looks like it's cracking and falling apart. I think for audio, Storm is actually the easiest to tell because it's significantly more high-pitched when fizzling.

If you are planning on more videos, there are some glitches that were possible back in the day and were then patched out, like the housing gauntlet glitch that allowed you to farm any gauntlet in public houses and the porting glitch that allowed you to go through doors (like the closed gates in the labyrinth dungeon)

Death is the easiest school to tell when you're about to fizzle, in my opinion! It has a large black dot that shows you're gonna fizzle.

About the Cyrus Nightside thing, I noticed something else odd about Cyrus. While I was questing on my Myth skipping the pet quests he gives, if you go to Dragonspyre where he is, he will for some reason give you the Humongofrog pet quest there too. EDIT: Had to specify only Humongofrog

This might have already been said in a previous video, but regarding fizzles: you can immediately tell whether a spell was successfully cast by watching your mana level. If a spell goes through, the mana is drained immediately, rather than waiting for the animation to play!

You can tell when a spell will fizzle when a Deckathalon event is going on if you use a treasure card. If the card fizzles you won’t get the point, if you don’t fizzle you’ll get the point right away. Also, if use an enchantment treasure card you’ll get the point when the spell you enchanted is played successfully instead of when you use the enchantment spell.

Also with the new arena change, it was possible before (and maybe now idk) to get a quest from Diego that asks you to go in and read the books in the arena. However since the books were removed/changed it's impossible to complete the quest. That's another bug I guess, the only way to get rid of it was to contact ki support lol

I'm not sure if this has been covered or mentioned yet but if there's one Boss I like the most it would have to be Lady Black Hope because this was a character I grew up with along with Gloria from Old Town. Back when I first started playing in 2009 she was lost soul but green. By 2010 she would be given her own unique look. She would have a very creepy voice similar to Foulgaze but I think a few years later they would update it. I recently went back to playing the game and I'm surprised they made her Optional now. This might give balance an unfair advantage but if a wizard from that school was to beat her they would be given a permeant spell card version of herself. She's available as a treasure card in the bazar as well as some of the bosses from Krock.

there used to be a visual glitch for fizzling when using a fire spell from your pet, (firezilla for example) the fire school sign would be sooooo bright everytime you fizzled

Similar to the dragonspyre gear mentioned in this video, there is another very recent bug that has to do with the level 50 crafted pins from dragonspyre. when first added, they were bugged to where you could equip same school accuracy pins. They later fixed this, but my storm still has a gear set with storm accuracy pins on it.

If the spell looks different from an original cast i.e. the death spell, it fizzle, and it looks like there is a black dot inside. Better way of knowing is 2 things: one, if your mana pool depletes, or 2, if your spell shows smoke or steam.

Your point about mana isn't accurate. Mana still depletes even if you fizzle. The only time it doesn't deplete is if your spell doesn't attempt to cast because another spell finished the fight before it reached your turn.

The successful fire spell casts a fire up in the air but so high up its nearly out of screen so thata probably why many people dont notice it but if you see it the spell casts successfully and doesn’t fizzle

the cyrus in nightside is an older version of cyrus from before he taught those spells, the ones you highlighted were all added later on when they got spellement paths to allow other schools to use the spells

Hey Glad, I have a weird thing that happens to me on Wiz (with proof) So I’ve completed every quest in the game (main, side, gardening, crafting, fishing, and daily assignments). When I go to use Quest Finder in any world, it will almost always tell me there are no available quests. However, sometimes, it will prompt me to visit Merle Ambrose in the Commons. The quest marker doesn’t point to him, though. The quest finder will actually point me off world all the way to Celestia to a character named Thule Landshaper in District of the Stars. I can’t interact with him, and I have no idea why this happens sometimes. I can send you screenshots if you want
