He (Shawn) does have some valid points at times. Sadly, whatever happened to him has really impacted his life (negatively). Or as others have suggested, he could be on the spectrum and has never been properly diagnosed. Seems like he just sits in his room and complains about people not buying his comics.

Shawn James is trying to attract Pro FBA crowd. If you ever go to a comic book convention you will see only a handful of FBA folks at comic book convention. His videos on politics especially FBA subjects get more views. He even said comic book videos don't do well on youtube which isn't true. Pro FBA crowd just aren't the biggest comic book readers. Most of AA in general think reading is nerdy or acting white. lost community

I used to be subscribed to Shawn James a few years ago. I think he could be a success with his books if he recalibrated how he approached things. He has a good amount of subscribers so I am surprised that has not equaled sells of his comics.

Shawn James has created a grand total of one comic book (or rather graphical novel) featuring John Hayes (aka Shawn James) as your personal Jesus. Shawn is mostly so-called pulp fiction writer. You know what is most pathetic? Shawn is all into his feeling as being so excited, has the sales pitch and complete enthusiasm for other people's comic than his own body of work. Just view his comic reviews. "The best comic all year". Shawn is competing against himself. No wonder Shawn no sales when he is driving sales away from himself. Yes, you are right Neil Allen. Look at Shawn latest effort - "John Hayes: A Thorne In My Side" (btw Thorn should have been used instead of Thorne). He just can't proofread the darn cover. It came out of the blue and out of nowhere. The pitch is as lame as ever. A Black woman secret agent as a member of the Black Boulé is a wild stretch. Who, Whom or What? It over for Shawn James.

His social media presence is actually pretty garbage. He's made quite a lot of videos that are pretty much meant to detract certain groups of people along sociopolitical lines. That might be great for some political pundit looking for an audience, but if you make a hundred videos about the problem with black women these days... or the problem with black men these days... or the problem with black families these days and you don't already have an audience buying your creative content, forget about it. You're done. Bill Cosby used to be able to get away with that stuff because he was Bill freak'n Cosby. Shawn's audience could care less about his art.

Shawn's biggest goal is not black empowerment but to empower himself. He is basically a KZbin Al Sharpton that promotes disinfo and lies. Shawn can't seem to get endorsements from New black media either

New Black Media probably don't know who he is, despite his claiming to be part of them. It's funny, because he used to criticize pro-blacks. Shawn has a habit of "joining" a movement/trend (Red pill, black Manosphere, Comicsgate, new black media) when he's looking for an audience to buy his books. The day will come when he makes a video talking about walking away from new black media.

Why not one of you start videos reviewing his book material? You all already have a small community here, talking about him. Buy his books, make videos thorough going over them with real criticisms and how to do better, in case upcoming writers are watching. In the videos show the pages, the typos, mistakes. Show proof and evidence along with real criticisms and how to do better. Instead of saying it isn't worth it, but then speak about it in the comments, because if something isn't worth, you won't speak on it. So why not just start doing this? It could be good as an awareness aspect. Wouldn't you all consider him an example of what not to be, what not to do?

That is a thought. However, I think I'm more interested in talking about what he is doing wrong regarding selling and packaging his material. While there are objective faults with his work from what I've read, I also know that it generally wouldn't appeal to me. I have zero interest in what he's trying to sell. Considering that, I recognize that I'm probably not the best person to review it, even though I can.

@@neilallen529 It doesn't have to be all on you, for that. You have to look past yourself, now that you're in a lead position. Whether you're aware of it or not. You do a good enough job inspiring others, just look at your comment sections. Others support and agree and seem to want to do stuff like that. So why not tell your supporters to start something like this? Could even shout them out, and they shout you out, thus gaining more positive traction. It is not about you can't tell others what to do. it about knowing what is and isn't okay based off of what has been done. If you have those willing to support you, then it is okay to tell rather than ask. Think about it. Remember it is not just about you, it is about all who support you as well. Try taking this comment and my original into consideration, and since people are willing to support you, it is okay to tell them to try and do what this sort of thing.

Shawn James blocked me for countering his lies. He says FBA can't get into engineering because of ws. Truth is around 75% of FBA kids fail basic skills math and reading tests. that means 75% of FBA is disqualified from this engineer/doctor/scientist conversation

FBA don't focus on STEM. Nothing to do with ws. How is it that ws isn't stopping Indians from dominating IT? How is it that non-FBA are going into STEM in droves? How is ws stopping them. He hides behind ws to deflect from the reality that he's failed in life, due to his own shortcomings.
