Ground beef and eggs are a great foundation to build on. For breakfast I usually eat 8oz ground beef and 4 eggs. After doing the dishes, I put berries in Greek yogurt, and eat a good amount of that. I eat that meal 2 times a day, and sometimes add a scoop of chocolate whey shake in the Greek yogurt and berries. I am a 57y man @ 170lbs. This works great for me. I also exercise daily

Greek yogurt taste gross. Too much sugars. Also don't believe that much protein in yogurt. It's not a whole food...

Dr. Gabrielle is right about red meat. Red meat catches so much negativity but its actually healthy, especially for the iron and regeneration Edit: I eat lean red meat after a workout, as well as eggs, greek yogurt, salmon and baked chicken..
@PSA78Күн бұрын
It's that it contain a lot of saturated fat, and it's sometimes cooked a bit hard. But red meat in itself seems to be fine in isolation, even eaten in places where people tend to live longer (but they don't eat it like in for instance America).
@Simonet13094 сағат бұрын
The idea that all red met is bad all the time is nonsense. It’ packed full of protein, iron, haem, creatine, numerous micro nutrients and more. Moderation, as virtually always, is the key.

Have you read books by Clarence Bass? Take a look at his website. It would be hard to argue with his approach being very healthy. It would great if you would interview him. He would have a very differing opinion and discussion of studies than this guest. It’s great to continue to have multiple credible guests.

If you eat beef with some fat in it, is that bad? Perhaps the real problem is lack of fiber and eating too much sugar, much more so than fat.

I've been eating high amounts of protein for my entire adult life. Now, at almost 50 years old, I look like I'm 28. I don’t even look 30-ish. Nobody knows I’m almost 50 unless I tell them, and even then, they think I’m joking. At almost 50, no hair loss, no muscle degradation and my joints are top notch in perfect conditions. Women in their 20s think they are talking to a man close to their age when they talk to me, and women closer to my age think they are flirting with a guy in his 20s. I'm always the same exact body weight-195 pounds-since I came out of puberty. I'm 6 feet tall and built like Tom Holland's Spider-Man: muscular and fit, but not muscularly huge. Enough about me; let’s talk about why protein is important. I find it very hard to believe how about 75% of the American population is so uneducated about why protein is needed. Protein to humans is like water to plants, gas to a gasoline car, diesel to a diesel truck, and the battery to an electric car. Protein makes everything FUNCTION.

So complicated to understand.
@universeusa3 күн бұрын
Protein plays several important roles in promoting health and longevity, and its impact can be understood through various mechanisms: 1. **Muscle Maintenance**: As we age, muscle mass tends to decline, a condition known as sarcopenia. Adequate protein intake helps maintain muscle mass and strength, which are crucial for mobility and overall health. 2. **Metabolism**: Protein has a higher thermic effect than fats or carbohydrates, meaning it requires more energy to digest and metabolize. This can support a healthy metabolism and weight management. 3. **Satiety**: High-protein foods tend to be more satiating, which can help with appetite control and prevent overeating, contributing to a healthier body weight. 4. **Cell Repair and Growth**: Proteins are essential for the repair and growth of tissues. This is critical for recovery from injuries and maintaining bodily functions. 5. **Hormone Production**: Proteins are involved in the production of hormones, including those that regulate metabolism, appetite, and stress response. 6. **Immune Function**: Proteins are vital for the production of antibodies and other components of the immune system, helping to defend against illness and infection. 7. **Longevity Pathways**: Some research suggests that a balanced protein intake, particularly from plant sources, may activate longevity pathways like autophagy and reduce the risk of age-related diseases. 8. **Bone Health**: Adequate protein intake is associated with higher bone density, which can help reduce the risk of osteoporosis and fractures as one ages. 9. **Cardiovascular Health**: Some sources of protein, especially plant-based ones, can contribute to improved heart health by providing beneficial nutrients and promoting healthy cholesterol levels. While protein is important, it's also essential to maintain a balanced diet, as excessive protein intake-especially from animal sources-can lead to other health issues. Therefore, focusing on a varied diet that includes adequate protein, along with other macronutrients and micronutrients, is key to promoting longevity. 🙏❤️🌹🌹🤗

Myth... this 10000% incorrect. Layne Norton, Peter Attia, Dr. Lyon, Dr. Israetel, Dr. Don Laiman, Andy Galpen, and a host of others with exceptional credentials have all explained why this is a complete farce, multiple times over, and theirs not a single humsn randomized controlled trial that supports anything but the opposite. Protein should be consumed in abundance.

Why not interview some of the famous plant based doctors and see what they have for facts. One of these doctors did studies over 50 years ago on how protein could turn cancer on and off. Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not to his own facts. how about providing links to research these experts share.
