Tom, I relate to you very heavily. I started using psychedelics very heavily around the same time as you. I watched your journey and have been a fan of your videos for a while. Back in the PsychedSubstance days. I became infatuated after learning hidden knowledge, this lead to obsession. I started using psychedelics to “learn more” and this quickly got out of hand and made me egoistic. Eventually, I got my ass whopped and I got traumatized from terrible experiences too. Put me in a dark place for a long time, but in the end it made me strong. I don’t regret taking psychedelics because it genuinely did change my life, increased my empathetic ability permanently, and inspired me to grow. It’s great to see people getting real, and honest about psychedelics. Wish you all the best man, keep creating.

I finished my first tip after a 2yr break yesterday and it was my lightest one. I have gone around and around in circles for years with psychs and this one showed me how dangerous thoughts are. Thinking creates the problem and the one creating the problems is the one trying to fix them perpetually forever with thinking. There is no escape from this loop until you just observe the thoughts without being pulled into them. Every time I go looking for these parts of me that need healing, I find nothing because the part that needed healing is a ghost of the past that doesn’t exist. I think this is the trap of traditional therapy also as we keep giving life to these identities that want to suffer. Some of this feels like borderline bypassing but to stay stuck in them just feels wrong. I agree that setting intentions are wrong, just let go and you cannot try to let go.
@ronmason166411 күн бұрын

I started therapy to deal with my feelings of loneliness. But I'll also do some micro dosing, because the last time I triped on psilocybin it made me more patient with people and more open and generous with my time. Every time I triped I always did so with a question or intention. If I don't change my behavior I don't see the point in tripping. Emotional maturity and spiritual growth are my main motivators for psychedelic journeys. Integration is key.

I honestly disagree, I think its good to incrementally work your way up to a safe yet amazing experience. Say the difference between going straight to 8g heroic dose vs starting at 2, seeing 2 is meh, trying 2.5g next, seeing how it's like, okay the walls moved a bit, 3g next, now I'm feeling these walls a bit more, then 3,5, and 4, and then maybe 5 if 4 felt okayish, like he said, training the muscle slowly instead of trying to do 40 reps, 8 sets on the first day. Even in the case that you begin working up a tolerance, I can guarantee you there won't ever be a tolerance so high that incrementally increasing by say .5 to 1g won't make a difference, even if it's subtle it's a much safer and scientific way to approach it than right to the heroic++ doses.

You have to integrate what you learn. There's still work to do, without that... You're just tripping to trip. Not that there's necessarily something wrong with that but if you're looking for a magic change in your mind it doesn't quite work that way But if you're looking for a bit of a cheat code to know exactly what things you need to work on or reshape your thoughts and emotions about, that's what they can do for you. And on top of that, A lot of times you can have a relaxing, interesting, meditative experience while you're learning these things about yourself. You just have to be ready to actually put in the work.

For me mushrooms were just another medication to help me tolerate but not change life. A nice mental rollercoaster that always landed me higher on the happy and content scale. I thought to myself why do I keep healing myself with mushrooms? Putting myself through these usually intense mental spaces and mind acrobatics? I used to use mushrooms regularly for a long time. Why don't I remove the source of damage? Certain family members. Bad job with bad boss. Less than ideal living situation. Old asperations that just annoy. I just gave up trying to hold these things together or value them for some reason like I was supposed to. Like it was just culture. Like it had to be me doing this with these people. You could call it snapping or finally getting it hahaa. Remove them. Quit. You don't need them. They don't need you. Move. Life is too short to give that much of a shit or put up with anything at all that increases the drag in your life one bit. If you are not relaxed and able to genuinely enjoy several moments of life each day then you are getting got by something you haven't removed from your life that you have been misled about its value. Give yourself peace of mind in this life whatever the maximum meaning that is to you. No one else will. That is the message I would say I found in all my trips that I can effectively English to others.

This is a hard message, my life has stagnated and would love some guidance on what my next steps are to get some momentum in other areas of my life I've neglected/suppressed or potentially even repressed. Have you ever heard of repressed sexuality? I'm being very vague so I'll just come out and say that I haven't always had a natural ability to talk to woman yet, I have always been very attracted to women to put it in nicer terms. Somewhat lustful for superficial qualities. I may be gay or even bi but I can't get attracted physically to the same sex and lack the social abilities to pick up social nuances of flirtatious interaction. This has been a long comment however, any guidance would be muchly appreciated, Thanks again man. Listening to this in snippets, will be adding as I progress: 4:00 I think that sometimes you need healing and confronting darkness might not be a bad idea... as long as you don't bite more than what you can chew. I think going for gigantic does might be overrated. Unless you have massive tolerance, going over 5g might be too risky and unnecessary. 3-5 grams might give you enough depth but in a more groundable way.

In the trip I felt random empathy something Bizzarre for me because of my aspd. Like I wanted to hug people but as soon as it ended the empathy disappeared and my disorder came back. So I got to not be my disorder for like two days.

Question: I have tried mushrooms 2 times in my life and I had little effect at “high doses”. I wanted to hear your thoughts on this

0:02: A preemption, the title has got me. And so have the comments. I’m not sure some “beings” want to experience the fabric of our underlying reality. Fundamentally psychedelics are plant “being” communications. All of nature is being and our interaction with nature can be observed with use of psychedelics, which is terrifying, because the corruption of our being is exposed. To become reliant upon psychedelics is probably a mistake and perhaps a misunderstanding of what can be potentially gained from “raw interaction with nature” experiences. It’s a matter of spiritual alignment, your intentions, and insight ability. If you are of an unbalance don’t be mistaken and know that it is not your own to suffer. Feel free to explore and gain an understanding of your own aberrations. It’s your interaction with reality that counts and don’t feel this as burden but rather as a gift of what is natural. To fear such is also natural and the sense of being may be very strong with you. Be mindful of corruption and its innate ability to pose as nature because it exits in nature and follows nature in pattern. A disguise. Could psychedelics pose as what is not natural? Yes if it synthetic. And by means of such the manipulation of nature by our being, not what is of Nature. If there was a psychedelic that teaches me such things I would use it sparingly and wisely and gain from the teachings, otherwise listen to your wise peers, and the voice within guiding you away from corruption.

How do I find a mentor? I'm fully aware that I need guidance, but I wouldn't know where to find it even if I could afford it...which I can't 😂
