I know I harp so much on option selling strategies, but buying options is not a bad idea in these key situations. However, I still believe that selling options as your core strategy is the best approach to options trading in general :) 🔥 START YOUR FREE 7 DAY TRIAL WITH MY DISCORD HERE 🔥 * Watch my video about the Discord here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/m3-bkIV4oNOboM0 * Sign up for your FREE trial here: launchpass.com/options-trading-with-scott/discord-member -------------------------------------------------- 🔥 GET UP TO 13 FREE STOCKS WITH MOOMOO 🔥 *** Use my link below to open a brokerage account and make an initial deposit to claim your rewards! *** Open a Moomoo brokerage account = 1 free stock Deposit $100 into your account = 9 more free stocks (10 total) Deposit $2,000 into your account = 3 more free stocks (13 total) LINK: j.moomoo.com/00iYIy

Great video man. very good information, if someone doesn’t understand debit spreads, it will surely pass their head but you gave a lot of good valuable information about delta and Vega.❤

Brilliant presentation on PUT debit spread. Is this strategy good only for low IV environment of individual stocks or it is also good for low IV situation of SPY, QQQ etc?

Very informative vids , what is your stop loss on this apple trade thx

I'm glad my videos have been helpful for you :) And I don't have a stop loss on this trade...the risk on spread trades is defined, so I always construct the position such that the max loss is an acceptable outcome. If I wanted to take more or less risk on the trade, then I would just make the spread wider or more narrow.

Thank you for your response , so I'm assuming the size of your spread depends on the risk you want to take.

@@PERDU888 Yes that’s correct! And generally my rule of thumb is to not risk more than 5% of my capital one on trade.

Great new perspective on buying debit spreads, appreciate that! 🙂 If the stock has crashed down, and I want to bet on recovery, is it better to buy outright calls or call debit spreads?
@scottreesetradinginvesting79362 жыл бұрын
I would still go with call debit spreads to eliminate time decay and mitigate the effects of IV contraction. Keep in mind that when stocks recover after a large selloff, IV will collapse which will hurt option buyers. So again, selling an option as part of your strategy will help mitigate those disadvantages.

Why is the chance 50 / 50 ?
@josersuarez82392 жыл бұрын
since this is an example with low Volatility it should be a debit call spread...

I'm confused, the bull spread is meant by buying a put at a lower striking and selling a put with a higher striking price.
