Sir it makes perfect sense of what you're saying and asking questions. But the people of India has been in habit of freebies and subsidies for a very long time. Govt can't just take away those and moreover the opposition tried to do the same in the elections. We've been on the way of jobless growth for a long time now. It's time for people of India to voice out for employment opportunities.

why not give this gyaan to opposition(states ruled by opposition ex kerala, karnataka, west bengal) whose financial parameters are a tragedy.
@mohanshirali57795 ай бұрын
In addition to your gyan on why RBI did this or that why not filel a PIL in the SC and demand a stay on RBI's transferring amounts to the Centre ( not to the BJP party perhaps). As it is the SC will be more than ready to admit such PILs which are admitted so that the administration gets bogged down. The Centre funds schemes per its budget allocation to its own expenditure and that of the States .

@@mohanshirali5779 My job is to talk about what is happening especially when it is a bad policy. I leave the PIL and other strategems to others. Including those who try to whitewash all that the RBI has been doing.

Commercial banks pay a dividend to the RBI? I thought they'd pay dividends to their shareholders. What am I missing? Gold was moved as collateral for loans some decades ago. Moving that gold back is really just a relocation of an asset.
@bhaskarkibusinessbaatein5 ай бұрын
PSBs are owned by the government through the RBI. Moreover, the RBI gets zero cost funds through the SLR and CRR, on which too the RBI makes money. As for the gold? Does it take 30 years to realise that you gold needs to be brought back?

@@bhaskarkibusinessbaatein Thank you for responding. I don't believe that RBI holds any shares in banks that it regulates - wouldn't that be a conflict of interest? My understanding is that the Government owns these bank shares in the name of the President of India and dividends are paid into the Ministry revenues in the name of the President of India. I could be wrong ... but that's what I'm given to believe. My point being that dividends from banks are not part of RBI revenues as RBI is not their shareholder. RBI is their regulator. Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.

Most of the subsidies have gone to the poor or farmers. What would he have to say about the doles promised by Rahul Gandhi. They were a massive ₹20 lac crore if fully implemented. Going by his own reasoning this would have been catastrophic for the economy as prices and inflation would have sky rocketed

Please show the charts for a little longer. There is barely time to see the chart and reflect on it

One way to do this is to hit the pause button and take a screenshot of the chart. Keeping the chart longer could interfere with the delivery of a much large message. My apologies.

Bhaskarji, what is your comment then on freebies in Karnataka and Telangana, earlier AP Govt. and Delhi's free bijli and paani? And you don't even know that Banks transfer dividends direct to Govt and not RBI? Such news with photos comes frequently in newspapers - you haven't seen them?
@bhaskarkibusinessbaatein5 ай бұрын
All freebies are dangerous and should be discouraged. For me the political party isn't important. The RBI has enough powers to restrain states and the centre. But that requires a spine, doesn't it?
@nareshkaria16145 ай бұрын
Sir, here you are conceptually wrong. Kindly study the rules of accounting and governance for commercial/ public banks and then make these comments.
@bhaskarkibusinessbaatein5 ай бұрын
I don't need to study rules when I see how additional charges have been added and charged to accounts holders. Earlier banks said that ATMs help reduce costs, and urged people to draw money through ATM cards, not cheques. Now both are charged. Banks were supposed to make money on the float of depositors' money. Then why the charges. It does not require rocket science to figure this out. Moreover new rules can always be created to justify such charges.

With due respect. You seem to be having all the knowledge and know all the problems in government. You do not look at positives but only negatives. You want to enjoy services from banks but do not want to pay for it. It is nice to make videos sitting in AC rooms which are one sided but think where money comes for developing all this infrastructure.
