Zhang Wei(Soul Land author) is not a party member or have enought influence to censor more popular works than his own, it is true that the purge started after his statment about "dangerous ideologies in Chinese novels" but it is more like he just angered the censorship what kinda ignored webnovels up to this point to start a full scale purge(more than 1000 novel was banned, around half of them is now allowed to continue but RI is deeply into banned section and doesn't have good chance to be unbanned like close to 0% )

Btw if you don't know the author of RE has made 2 books after RI and a book for before RI, blood core infinite which is really good too and another new one which is Mysteries of Immortal Puppet Master. I am honestly just waiting for 2nd one to get accumulated. Dont go on thinking he is gonna play into your fantasy of RI cause he isnt. Story is still good and fun but characters arent like RI since fang yuan himself is a rare character who has lived for SO long unlike his other novels where we start from beginning of their life
