I had this exact same sentiment. For an accident, she couldn't have picked a better time. A long title run that didn't last so long it got tired. A title she never lost. Time for the women's division to develop more competitors. A foible to keep the judgement day from going stale. And who doesn't love a surprise return pop.

The biggest thing i think this is great for Rhea, this was the best way to remove the title from her without anyone making her look weak. Because injuries happen and can happen anywhere, anytime, regardless of circumstances. Now someone can be a new target for her and give her a new storyline without her never appearing as if she has lost any of what makes her great. So I wish her well, but can't wait for her return to flatten them all, and shed all of their blood.

I agree - as much as an injury sucks (and I hope Rhea recovers quickly and without issue), this is a bit of a silver lining for WWE. Rhea was _so_ popular that there probably wasn't a way for her to lose the belt in a story line that would have sat well with the fans. In this case, her story is now that she's never "lost" the belt, and that only builds on her level of dominance. Lots of possibility now in how/what they can do when she's ready to return.

I was thinking about this earlier today, as much as it sucks that Rhea’s injured it actually plays into the inevitable Priest face turn and program with Balor really well. And like you said, when she comes back it could easily be made into a huge babyface moment if they push Liv as a dastardly heel champion in the meantime. And as a side benefit, Dominik will get a chance to see if he can keep his heat without having Mami as a crutch, but I fully expect to see him align with Santos Escobar full-time before much longer.

I think triple h really wanted to start with fresh Champs. Cody, priest, atowndown, awesome truth, Sami and Bayley. Old Champs were Logan, kabuki warriors and rhea. Out of which Logan and kabuki warriors are fairly new. Rhea was the last one remaining. Giving her a break without making her loose is also perfect way to split the women's division wide open. Esp since there's a draft coming in. Becky, Charlotte, Bianca, iyo, jade, Naomi, Tiffany, zelina, Liv, Nia, Raquel, Shayna... The possibilities are endless. And I think that's what triple h went for, a new season of WWE with endless possibilities

It does suck that Rhea Ripley is injured and has to relinquish the title. In a business sense, she's gonna be missing out on major PLEs that are out of the country, so they need a new title holder and hope that person does well with the title. As for the Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins comparison, obviously for Reigns, they're not doing the rule where you gotta defend the title within 30 days of the month, but he was never technically out of action due to injury. For Rollins, I think that the injury wasn't as severe as they thought, it was close to Wrestlemania, and he would be cleared beforethen. On the bright side, this could also set Ripley as a major babyface for the Women's division. She was already over with the fans, despite being a heel. Also stated in this video, this could also add more fuel to the fire for Liv Morgan as a heel. As for who holds the title, who knows?

The Rhea/Roman comparison makes zero sense. Roman worked part-time, but if he wanted (and creative had a story) he could have worked more. Rhea is injured, i.e. she can not work. A better comparison would be with Seth earlier this year when he hurt his knee. The difference (I think) is that Seth was expected to return within 2-4 months, in time for Mania, so the story they wanted to tell going forward was not really in jeopardy. Although right now we don't know how serious Rhea's injury is (I've also read somewhere that she might have been written off-air to have time for her wedding and stuff, so that may be a factor too), it would appear to me that she'll be gone for longer than that and the planned story either cannot go forward, or possibly it was planned to have her lose the title anyway. Either way, stop comparing an injured person with someone who has a part-time schedule, it makes no sense. Please. Thank you.

Put the belt on liv then give her some "Bodyguards" of sorts. You could put Nia and Piper in that spot for example. Have them protect Live winning some matches (bloodline style) and hell you could even put the tag belts on those "Bodyguards" then and when Rhea is ready to returns she can work her way through everyone maybe with two other people gunning for the tag titles aswell. Gives Liv more to do. Moves Rhea away from the Judgement Day without actually breaking them up. Gives the tag belts more relevancy. And turns Rhea into somewhat of an underdog.

Rhea is the biggest female star out of all of the current talent WWE has at its disposal, it would be a stupid idea to not have her regain the belt ASAP. While she isn't competing, I'd have the Judgement Day implode and go their separate ways, though I am not sure how I would set that up, I just think it would be the best thing for them all. Priest can be a good solo superstar, Dom can join Legado del Fantasma and keep antagonising his dad, JD and Finn Balor could join up with Sheamus and create an all-Irish stable, and as I said previously, Rhea is the biggest female star in the company, and will still be so when she comes back from injury. I just don't think they need a reason to stay together anymore.

I love the fact we're getting something new from Liv. Only thing I feel they need to do for Liv is give her credible wins either with the title or in the build up to her winning it. Her getting a few big wins adds to the credibility and jeopardy of a match with Rhea when she does come back

It sucks that Rhea got hurt, and also the fact both Seth and Roman got their keep their titles for so long without defending them due to injuries or other reasons. I wanted to see Rhea drop the title on her own terms, but this can be a blessing in disguise. Rhea was never beaten and now due to all the heat Liv is getting for the injury this is going to turn Rhea into a massive babyface. On the flip side, this shows the lack of strong talent in RAW women's division. Really its Becky and Rhea, no one else is on their level. Unlike Smackdown who had Charlotte, Bayley, Bianca, Asuka, and Iyo. I just hope this can work out, but I don't seem people taking Liv as a serious champion for long. This could be a chance to put it on someone like Shayna who should be pushed better.

Even if this was a freak accident, which by many, they said it was a freak occurrence. Why her shoulder got injured but it just showcased. They weren't building any other new stars up. If the if the number 2 went down, there was the 3, but at the same time it does suck. Rhea had run through the Raw roster so she had no where to go. Liv wasnt gonna beat her but now we can give other women on Raw a shot for a couple months. The safe bet is Becky though I dont know if she's gonna be around but her and Liv also have unfinished business. I would look at Nia Jax or maybe Natalya for one last run.

The real problem is the lack of alternative belts for women to hold. The men can duck out for months at a time cus there will still be plenty of other titles for the locker room to aim at. If Rheas out and there are no title opportunities at her belt, what is the women's locker room meant to fight for? Roman could hold the title and wrestle like he did because it was in his contract that he was part time. They put the title on him when he was part time so why wouldnt they have him defend it as a part time performer? That statement is fricken stupid as hell. And for the record, no part timer should hold a title at all. I've said that for years. Seth Rollins was a different story. I think his knee may have been injured but it wasn't as bad as they made it out to be so they played it into the storyline for Wrestlemania and it worked. If a wrestler suffers an injury and they hold a title, if they can't defend it within 30 days, that's when they have them vacate. Rhea's injury is such that she couldn't be cleared to defend in that timeframe. Difference is that Roman is part time and Seth could defend but didn't need to, so thats why they weren't forced to vacate, and Rhea just can't with her injury. People need to quit looking for some controversy or something when there isn't any.

I like both wrestlers but I’m a bigger Liv Morgan fan than Rhea Ripley. I think this injury could benefit both wrestlers! I think the WWE should put the belt on Liv and make her a massive heel! Then when Rhea comes back make her a massive baby face. One thing I wouldn’t do is put the belt back on Rhea in their first match. I would make a story where Liv cheats to keep her belt and in their last match then have Rhea win.
