instead of changing it, the devs who made the lobby could add a script that would make you unable to wear the hat. Just like how in murder mystery 2 you cannot wear the magma legs.

Hackers will bypass that, and it would be very hard if every developer had to remove the hat in EVERY game. So it would be easier to remove the script.

About the Teaod turret. So the teapod turret is a accessory used by exploiters to ruin servers. But the problem is you can't just get a offsale item and wear it yourself, but if the game that you are trying to exploit has a remote event like: EquipHat, applyOutfit etc, they can fire the accessory ID of the Teaod turret and get the Hammer. Now Roblox knows about the Teapod Turret for a while because in 2019 or 2018 they updated it. Why? Because then the explosions and the hammer worked meaning the Fire Shield was SS, Spinfire and the sounds but then Roblox updated it for those things to not be ServerSided anymore but the Gravity Hammer still works. How? By dropping it on players. After the Twenty One Pilots incident the Hat was updated

What was most likely in the game was some sort of avatar editor? if not then some exploiters found a bug to where they could give themselves hats. The gravity hammer killed because it most likely does some check to if you are not the person wearing the hat, it kills you. the gravity hammer used to spawn explosions before it broke.

from what i know the twenty one pilots game has some sort of method to get a hat, an exploiter must have seen the remote and fired it with the teapot turret id then with common knowledge among exploiters (im pretty sure this kind of crap is common) just dropped the teapot turret gravity hammer because it has a script that kills you if ur not the original owner of the hat (i.e, you didnt equip the hat first) tl;dr exploiter found a way to get hats and abused a feature to (ironically) prevent people from abusing the hammer (when it worked)
