The thing is, nowadays, even a really dominant driver in F1 maybe wouldn't translate to an all around driver in other categories. Even driving a Formula car like the Indycar, it's almost more similar some Stock Cars compared to Indycars than Indycars compared to the F1, specially for the new generation of F1 drivers. Maybe just Verstappen can drive "everything" on the asphalt, and Mick Schumacher seems to have a good Rally potential skills, but didn't translate his potential skills, being a slowburner shy person: he simple didn't had the enough time in F1, he chooses the worst environment to do his first steps there. But, well... I don't see, specially from the late 00s F1 drivers being all arounds drivers, they're "mastered" F1 and F1 it's just different, also, Grosjean wasn't that good F1 driver, honestly. So, nowadays FOR ME, again, F1 drivers, even the best ones probably can't dominate straight away in Indycar or maybe never in so many cases. And medium grade drivers like Erickson or even Sato can arrive from a category of mixed circuits, and prove to be really good on ovals, contradicting expectations. F1 is a mean tech money based constructors category, when drivers like Erickson got a long run than Nasr being clearly better, having drivers like Grosjean, Fisichella, Stroll, Latifi, Giovinazzi for so many seasons or being blinded by just one run like happened with De Vries or even Albon driving against Latifi and a raw rookie like Sargeant with a car being so much better than the individual results.

it looked like he was gonna pull something out of a hat at laguna seca this year but that didnt materialize. dude should move to lambo full time.

Romain should go to WEC & IMSA.

He already has a contract there at Lamborghini

That Lambo would not be bad to have a full time ride at 👍

So he was rubbish in F1, rubbish in Indy Car, and now doesn’t have a contract. What a shock… 🙄😒

So, here’s the deal imo This past season was definitely his best and I think the team was starting to really gel. There were plenty of races he was in podium position and or leading at points. Poor leadership strategy killed them. He drove good
@KJ2855411 ай бұрын
He literally crashed by himself over half the races and only got 3 podiums in a racing winning car That’s not driving well

this is controversy over here damn 😏

Great content but why are you yelling:(
@wraitheful11 ай бұрын
Some drivers need management and encouragement beyond normal maintenance and Romain is no different. He’s always crashed too much. Figure that out and he’s good. In F1, team bosses never criticize your own driver mid season in the press; it’s support only.

If Grsjean really can't cope with a change of dampers then he doesn't deserve any top seat. He was fast but incredibly inconsistent in F1. Maybe this is the reason

Obviously we all know him form his crashes but I feel kinda bad for him this time around… I feel like he’s been wronged

So it kind of sounds like Grosjean got dropped because DeFrancesco flopped in top equipment, and now they won’t field 4 cars and have nowhere else to put Ericsson? I can see why he’s mad. He’s been disappointing with all the whining and going a little nuts with being allowed to make contact again. But I don’t think he deserves to be out of the sport.

Romain is bigger than whole Indy. Despite being “crazy” on track sometimes, he belongs to F1.

To be honest never liked this guy driving style as well too aggressive at the wrong moment and crashing to almost everyone but I wa glad he survived the worst crash I ever saw!
@davewarren480711 ай бұрын
I can’t see how Grosjean can win this one, there has to be a performance clause in his contract, which protects the team from a run of poor performances or crashes, and Grosjean has both this year. He has to be the guy with the most DNF’s this year and most of the time that has been due to crashes. He just hasn’t been good enough to warrant a contract extension.
@Redlingstein11 ай бұрын
He simply had a contract including 2024 so Andretti has to pay up. Its that simple.
@Redlingstein11 ай бұрын
Its not abt extension. He had a contract already for 2023 and 2024. Andretti needs to pay his contract if they don’t want him in the car.
@davewarren480711 ай бұрын
@@Redlingstein not if Andretti didn’t sign on their end. A contract needs to be signed by both parties to become enforceable. As is stated in this video Andretti didn’t sign on their end.
