i remember on the broadcast they showed the difference between the filter and natural lighting. was crazy how dark it was.

One the best and most dramatic final round of a major in this century
@holdenvintiadis68168 ай бұрын
This is stupid. A Monday finish at major is the worst thing of all time. Sure Rory forced officials to let him play up but everyone had to finish in time.

I love that the crux of this drama is apparently “Phil could’ve said ‘no’ but he wasn’t confident enough”

If you said that out of Rory, Richie, and Phil that after this major Phil would have more Majors that Rory and Richie combined at one. Nobody would believe you, but here we are over tens years have passed and neither Rory nor Rickie have won a single major since this faithful day in August a decade ago. I think Rickie is done, but the jury is still out there on Rory.

Idk Rory IMO is the best player of the last decade (yeah even without Majors). Or atleast ball striker (ATM Scottie is THE N1 by far) anyways he often has great great rounds prior Major but on Majors has meltowns or only plays so he makes cuts..that Masters leaved him scars or only showed what was about to start because speaking golf-for years he was just dominating and had pace for 20 Majors even in 2014...but something psyhiological is in his head very obviously, what that is IDK-nobody knows
@gasperstarina9837Ай бұрын
Rory as said. He has the game, when it watks for him noone can't stop him but his mentall state which idk, it looks like that Augusta thing is and always will stay in his head...literally when he has the game Majors are his to lose

What they should have done was make them play as a foursome. That would have been the most sensible thing. I think both Phil and Ricky would have agreed to that.

Just another example of Rory getting special treatment, if someone tried that at any public course there would be a fight.
@lachlanmcmillan57438 ай бұрын
Except this was a major championship not a public golf course. What a stupid comment
@TheRenster5008 ай бұрын
Relax. The fact is that he didn't do it on a public course on a Saturday per se. It was a major on a Sunday. It's in the best interest of TV networks, the sponsors as well as fans in attendance and TV to finish on Sunday.

Rory had made so many mean comments about other players over the last couple of years. Some people celebrate when he fails to win yet another major.
@MrEee11e8 ай бұрын
Mean comments? No.
@krijo2108 ай бұрын
Rory has been rather vocal in his criticism towards the LIV tour and there have been several conflicts involving him and other players. Now even Rory admits he has gone a bit to far and has said "I can’t judge people for making that decision. So, if I regret anything, it was probably being too judgmental at the start." To pick out one example where he crossed the line of decency. "The best thing to happen to the 2023 Euro Ryder cup [sic] team was Henrik going to LIV!", taunting Stenson for losing the job as captain for the Ryder Cup team. I find that mean.
@MrEee11e8 ай бұрын
Okay. But you wrote he made “so many” over the “last couple years.” Much of what was said about LIV players was reasonable, even if you don’t agree. It is not mean to call out public people for their behavior. And citing a single instance of “mean” comments does not support your original claim
