They decided to go racing instead of build the 75 Coupe and then they went bust....... Go figure!!

During the US Auto Crisis of 2008 that was part of the bailout. Chrysler was the worse off, Daimler was done with them they got their partner in Fiat. Ford saved itself by mortgaging everything it could and didn't take a dime from the Federal Government. The US Federal Government currently owns a third of GM. We were given rebates to buy American. We also had the Cash for Clunkers and other schemes which allowed us to get rid of our gas guzzlers for new models from Detroit.

i know one reason that crash. Manifold gasket failure.

Would have been better to let it go to the wall in 2000- someone may have taken over part of the business and made It viable, the workers may have gotten proper redundancy

They took tax payers money for their manor houses and Chinese lover. Without Honda money, Rover should have finished in early 80's.
