I started the game as a Roy main but fell off him since I never could figure how to best use his assets. Seeing top level Roy makes me envious though as I know he's a solid character. I ended up with Cloud who feels much more suited for my playstyle and have had much more success against my friends. Comfortably with a character really goes a long way!

That's how I feel about Pyra/Myrtha. I'm not a hater exactly, but they pretty much have all of Roys strengths and weaknesses but also have a ton of active frames and even a projectile of sortss.

id say most top players are just adding another character that they can be good enough with to main. The meta in evolving and you need more than 1 main to be consistently good since we got 80+ chartacters.

Good controller + a lot of top players have played since the early games, so they're just used to it. If you want to use a Pro Controller, for example, you aren't really going to be at disadvantage.

Less thinking, boring, mashing is central In Roy’s game plan which work well at high level, top tier, sword. Riddles wins a major with Kazuya , terry or even ken - audience response : wow the first fgc rep to win and dam that was hype and he will go down in smash history.
