I am so pumped for release, I can hardly contain myself. I plan to go slow and complete each zone in its entirety - all shrines, all achievements, reveal the entire map, all quests, etc. Then I will move on to zone 2. That said, I am, all about being smart and efficient about my progression. I'll do all of the campaign on tier 1 and then switch to tier 2 for the capstone dungeon. I have always planned on maining a necro but I came across a sorceress build that has me reconsidering. I may level both to 20 and see which speaks to me more. Eventually I'll level both to end-game so it doesn't really matter. Thanks for all your content, I have been appreciating it.

Like diablo 2 release I'll have killed every single mob in blood moor before I move zones... You can be 100% sure the memory of the story experience and cut scenes will out weight the endgame grind. The diablo story is a once in 10 year event. For all its flaws D3 had a fantastic story as well.

I wish people would stop convincing people to rush through everything. The devs put alot of work in the campaign and environment which is finally something that normally isnt in ARPGs. We havnt had a diablo game in about 10 years so people need to just sit back and appreciate it. Have fun and appreciate the game

I have always had that mindset of being quick and leveling but this is the first game to where it's designed to get you lost and explore. I've been taking games a lot slower lately and have enjoyed gaming a lot more then before. Think I got tired of it lol. But obviously I love grinding games and taking many hours for a single drop. You are spot on, getting to world tier 3 asap is going to be critical.... If your a player that's in a hurry. For me personally, I'll be going wt2 on day one, taking my time. Enjoying the game, the story and appreciating all the love and hard work the Devs put in to this game. While doing that, I'll be making mental notes of the optimal things I "should" have been doing, so that when season 1 comes out, I have a solid plan and am ready to go full rush mode 👌

you say doing "optimal" and you are going WT 2 - from all reports it takes 30-40% longer to complete for 20% extra, its no economical to do at the start most are saying WT1 until you are at least level 25

Since world tier 1 is easier than world tier 2, im thinking that since content creators are saying to rush through and play tier 1 that when the player actually gets to the world tier 2 captsone dungeon their build isnt gona be good enough. Your build might be good in WT1 but its not gona be the same in WT2. Can you imagine thinking your build in WT1 is good then realising in WT2 that its not good enough. Talk about a set back lol

Imho - the Endgame is exactly that, End-Game I'll take my time, won't look at any builds or stuff, - just play and enjoy the Game, do all Side-Stuff available to me and learn and see the Story and Game. After i hit the Capstone on Veteran, i'll go to WT3 to refine and grow stronger as the Game intends it. WT4 is only relevant once you are geared out enough in 3 to go to 4. This is just as the Game wants it to go. Endgame will be repetetive enough, i don't see why i would like to rush it. Also - the Softcore mode persists as it is anyway, - there is no reason to go as fast as possible until the Season drops imho. The best advice i would give is, enjoy and take your time if you can. If you have a lot of time, go slow and enjoy the game - you will be finished and learned the Game when the Season drops. You can practice and go faster and faster. If you do not have that much time, or just don't want to spend that much, don't worry about Season at all for now, just enjoy the Game, you can only finish it one time, for the first time, - don't blur that first experience with builds, meta-talk and stuff like that. Everything is theory and everyone jumps on the Content-Bandwagon, just to get some views out of it. Oh and - Non-Hardcore Players are NOT always Casual and Hardcore Players are NOT always Hardcore, - i know a lot of casual players who played Diablo 3 maybe 1 or 2 hrs a week ON HARDCORE. There is no reason to say this wouldn't be possible. It's just permadeath, nothing else.

You have to finish off the capstone dungeon, in T2, but you don't have to do anything else.

Mostly, yes. However, to move on to T3 you have to complete the cap dungeon, which from I understand has to be done on World Tier 2. Basically you can level 1-50 on T1, change it to T2, complete the end cap dungeon and you have access to T3. I think you also have to complete the campaign at least once. You also don't have to be level 50, but I think for a first character, I would wait until level 50.

This strategy is only good for content creators, who are pushed to release new and exciting information for the game. For all the others: It might be better to completely stop consuming d4 content for a while (no spoilers, no guides, no exploits -> just having fun with the game and figuring everything out by yourself)

Wt1 is much easier than wt2. What works in wt1 might not work in wt2 so just make sure and have your basis covered if you decided to play wt1 instead if wt2. Wt2 capston dungeon is a little difficult from what we hear

If I have a legendary with the stats I want, but a rare drops with higher item power or a legendary but doesn’t have the stats I like, should I still equip the higher power. Or is there a way to infuse the power lvl onto the stat legendary I have? I know you can imprint the aspects, but what about the other stats..

with Necro I have finished campaign, my character is over level 50 and i finished capstone dungeon.. changed to world tier 3 and i just die constantly, not to mention that killing even regular mobs takes forever. As i understand from various videos, actual good gear only starts to drop in WT3, but how the hell am i supposed to get it if i can't even effectively play on that difficulty. Like if even normal mobs just constantly kill me, i would not have even hope against any dungeon boss.. and i guess that is mostly where sacred items drop.. right? And i was doing fine in WT2, i built my necro mostly for clearing lots of mobs quickly.. any boss fight still took lots of time and was risky. I have seen people saying that difficulty jump from WT2 to 3 is barely even noticeable and that WT3 is easy.. well, definitely not in my experience. for me that difference of difficulty is like night and day. WT2 seems fine and WT3 completely unplayable with the gear i have right now. I would say WT1 and 2 are almost the same. Third is way more harder.

For sure, we were not done with everything in first region and we got to 25 easy. But remember that in order to get the last 2 renown steps un need to be in tier 3. Therefore I would suggest, do anything u want till u hit step 3 renown and then move to next zone. When u are tier 3 comeback and finish the zones. All this cause I dont know if renown stacks in favor of the forth step with out being in tier 3 or u meed to be in T3 to get that renown. We will see

35-40 hours estimate by the devs...that still leaves 2 days early access even if we take our time enjoying the story for the first time (because, only get the experience once, and no season for a month sooo...). But yeah, all the vids out there are all about doing world tier 1 over world tier 2, but not turning around and saying you're goal for speed is to unlock a higher difficulty asap. It's the same as diablo 3, higher tier = better loot and better builds as a direct result.

Hardcore is definitely challenging but fun. I'd say if you enjoy the prospect of potentially having to restart your entire character do it, but do not expect to be able to never die on your first playthrough. I personally would recommend going softcore until you've played through the whole game, and then when season 1 comes, try harcore.

The gear you get is appropriate to the Tier you are currently playing. There is no need to rush to T3.

you should absolutely NEVER RUSH a game the first time through......telling people to have FOMO and get there fast is a good way to make the casuals who don't know to quit really quick. BEFORE YOU BEAT THE GAME YOU GET ALL OF THE CONTENT OF THE GAME IN WORLD TEIR 1-2 you only get the extra endgame content after and new gear. all ingame content is available in world their 1 AND 2. hot takes like this are not good to stress to people

Rushing the story and lore of any game just to race to the endgame makes Zero sense to me..... that's the main reason I'm upset about this stupid hardcore race. the developers should have thought about that before they made the race to begin with. They are forcing their competitive player base ignore 95% of their game just to get their name signed on a statue they may never even see. i know ARPG's are all about endgame but ALL GAMES are about their core game at least for their first time through... this is far from my first ARPG but every single ARPG i play i pay attention to the story before i zero in on endgame repetativeness.
