yea they said it's ok it will be supported in feature and will get it's gold standard but guess what they also said they won't be selling F7A that it will be only cosmetic also they said they won't be selling F8 and here we are... so it's absolutely untrustworthy what they are saying we can only count on fact which in this case is... OUT OF SIGHT = OUT OF MIND, good luck finishing a ship into gold standard with fully working features they were not able to deliver even for the latest mk2 sale... they are just sitting in their offices laughing how good they screw us... but surely officially they are working on fixing it and delivering best game

Pretty sure they're doing this so they can lock it behind rep rewards. As long as it's something like that I honestly don't think I'm not salty, The ship shop is supposed to be heavily cut down before 1.0 to make room for rep rewards and shit like that.

I kind of agree. I suspect it has to have something to do with monetization either free up certain price points or switching to a modular platform like are doing with the Retaliator. It has to have something to do with CCUs sales or etc. I don't think I necessarily mind that much as long as it remains on the list of ships we can CCU from. There's no way the Retaliator Bomber should have been removed like that.

Your MKI hornet is probably loaner for some other ship you have. check the loaner matrix.

If it's in your hangar at the RSI website you have it permanently. If you only have it in game it will eventually be gone

They said there will be retired/old/outdated/prior model ships in the universe flying around we won’t be able to buy. They talked about it aRound the time they switched all the models (look up old cutlass etc.) But of course we should have known marketing Would find a way to fomo monetize that; while also meeting a stated goal/promise

The F7 Mk 1 is clearly a Squadron 42 ship that we tested in Star Citizen. Now that S42 is shipping, the F7 Mk 1 is being removed and replaced by the F7 Mk 2 and F8 in Star Citizen.

I have a Super Hornet with the intent on upgrading by CCU. If there is a reason to hold on to it for some future game play reason, it'd be nice if CIG would mention that. At this time my go to ships are 80% C8R and 20% Corsair/Taurus depending on which one was lost in desync suicide NPC collisions.

Lawless good news, remember when I told you there needs to be a crap storm of negativity with the firebird. Well apparently the sales for it were horrible. So guess what is coming in the next patch. A firebird with 40 percent reduction and 24 missiles! This was what Inwas hoping for! Damn now I may have to melt my ghost after all Edit: nope signature iincreased to 40. But as fast as it is I am ok with that

I think its odd but idk why any one would be upset. Your mk1 is going to become rare. More valuable and unique too see. Kinda a gift to the og players. And yea a fomo cash grab to a point but you will be able to own something not available anymore.

I'd be curious if the Ironheart (the silver one) works well with the Heartseeker? That silver / Chrome paint with the nose art should look slick. As for your F7A, did you end up picking up the Veterans Day cosmetic upgrade from years ago? They turned that upgrade into an actual ship and it went live yesterday.

I want to try all these paints with the heartseeker, i don't have anything remotely related to the f7a mk1 and i've ruled out it being a Sub perk

@@LawlessBaron You know, being tied to the subscriber system would make sense. The higher tier gets access to new ships and vehicles for something like a week on launch, right? Guess that includes the F7A in this case. Enjoy it and get some of those paints on the Heartseeker (as I try to find one at a reasonable rate.)

@@LawlessBaron it is def a sub perk. I didn' thave one and a friend did. all I did was buy an Imperator sub, and now I have one. It makes sense too cuz it wasn't in game until now, so Imperator subs get "test flight" access to it since it's technically a new flyable

They will do this same thing to all older ships. It is easier to make a mark 2 of any ship compared to redoing old assets. Zeus and consolation for example. You can say they are two different ships. But are they really?

I think this will happen to a lot of the older ships moving forward. It's probably just as easy for CIG to make a more modern variant with where the tech and game is now than re-working old designs. Plus it will net them more cash if you think about it. I could see the Gladiator, Freelancer, and Connie's all getting modern "MKII" designs and retiring the old ones as the game itself is way more modern than when it was kickstarted. And yes gray market is already gearing up on the Hornet MkI. The impound has an LTI heartseeker that was $300 yesterday, as of this morning it's $550.

its simple, they have new people training to build ships and they want lore to develope in the game. anvil ships will be coming down the pipe soon enough so they are gearing up for drake and anvil.

They need to sell new ships: everyone interested already got an MkI. Good luck hoping they will update the MkI to gold standard, as they said in the last video.

they're to cheap for CIG current revenue stream, the base MK1 is/was roughly $125 compared to mk2 which is $175 and of course they'll release mk2 ghost, tracker and pos a mk2 super hornet

The reason why there removing it, is because there are like 19 different ships that all do the same thing because there is no features added into the game. Master modes completely null these ships out.

FOMO! CIG going to hook you on something just because FOMO marketing. It will come back and be 'limited' edition or prize for completing something in SC to replace the F8, shuffle cards and bang! FOMO. Its nuts but it works for their marketing.

I melted my ghost for the Mk II before I knew about the removal of the MK1's. In fact I was half way through the overdrive missions when I heard the news. I did not even hesitate. I immediately melted my mk II bought the pulse and upgraded to the ghost to get the LTI. Then bought all the paints with the excess money credits. It almost came out perfectly credit wise with the mk II paints and the ship. But noway was I losing my ghost. I get the mk 2 is tech better. But the solid black with 40 percent stealth reduction and I can still be valid with upgrades. ALSO it still gets a gold pass in the future, it was a no trainer. I can still pve plenty fine on it

It's an ugly ship I don't think they want new players to see. MKII is an improvement and a compromise.

I dont agree with your logic, first of all MK1 is not ugly but based on your idea 90% of DRAKE ships should be retired cause almost all of them are ugly, yes... i said it they are ugly and here you can learn that ugly or not is personal preference therefore it has no reason to be used as a point why ship is getting retired and for the second part that oh it's ok because XY is improvement then again... catterpillar should be also retired and removed because newly announce ship is also improvement compared to catterpillar.. how many excuses will people come just to defend stupid decision CIG is making, my brain is collapsing from all the stupidity people are capable to come up with
