I always keep my saw dust and use it as wood filler for my pinball machine repairs. Comes in handy for repairing big gouges in the wood of the cab or playfield. So yeah any cutting of wood I do I always keep the saw dust as it is handy in other things. :)

I want that blue bowl for my kitchen table. I want to keep fruit (that needs to be peeled..) in something like that. It is beautiful. Did I miss where he said he got the molds? I checked the description and the molds aren't listed. I never miss a video. I think Steve makes us feel like we are all hanging out with him in his studio and it is so much fun! Thanks Steve!

Also, gotta say, what a great way to make your resin go further Steve. Was wondering could you add chunky gold glitter to the wood one? I presume because of the wood in the mix the chunky glitter wouldn't have issues with sinking etc?

Not all let's resin molds have the amount, I got the 3 style coaster set and none of them nor paperwork has the amount stamped on it unfortunately. But I've been using a sharpie and writing on the outside of the mold how much it took so it's easy to mix next time. Love how these came out! Stunners! Great video as always! 🤗❤

The one with the saw dust looks like a cheesecake pie shell! These are so cool! I have a question though…. Is the resin safe for plants growing in those? Or would using a food safe resin be best to make these? These are just so cute!

I bought a Let's Resin jar mould with lid the other day and it doesn't have any measurement markings on it, whatsoever - neither on the base or the lid. Does that indicate that it's a fake, would you say? You've said in several videos that they ALWAYS have the amount of resin they take on the side but not so here.
@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts6 ай бұрын
Did you buy it from let’s resin website? Some of their older stock may not have had measurements on them. They have been putting them on for a long time now.
@budgetmerch6 ай бұрын
@@SteveMcDonaldArtsandCrafts It was, yes - my only suspicion was that the package was all torn open. But it is shiny inside so the chances of it being a fake seem highly unlikely. I was just curious because of your comment but I understand that if nobody bought that mould for a while it could be old stock. Haven't used it yet but in every other way it looks good. I nearly went blind screwing my eyes up trying to see any measurements somewhere on the side of it! 🤣🤣Thanks for clarifying.
@budgetmerch6 ай бұрын
Actually, I just retrieved the torn box and that shows that although I bought it from the Let's Resin website, it shows that it was dispatched from APEX CE SPECIALISTS LTD in Manchester, and it is also stamped 'UK | REP', so I can definitely imagine them having that particular mould from quite a while ago. Not complaining - it was just a mystery with the wrapping ripped open and the mold halves outside the torn open box. Probably got snagged on something in transit.
@alcg39816 ай бұрын
I'd go directly to Let's Resin and ask their opinion. Then you know for sure.😊
@budgetmerch6 ай бұрын
@@alcg3981 Thanks. I did that and when I got a reply they confirmed and told me that they would improve the packaging to prevent it happening again. It only affected the opening experience in that everything was torn open but the mould itself is fine, They are good moulds and it won't stop me buying them.

Steve I’ve just watched a really old video of yours, I was looking for was an old video on how to make a hole in pendants and attach the things to put a chain/tie on them. I’m sure you have such a video, can you tell me what it is or any chance you can do a video on it. I’ve got lots of left over resin bits I could make into pendants but they have no hole. Can you help please? Ta heaps. PS I tried this (sawdust/paper) last night but used aquarium stones, looks great. Ta Steve. 🥰

Hello I’m new to your Channel but absolutely loving you and all your wonderful makes and advice. I have a question for you and hope you don’t mind me asking you . I recently lost my beautiful beloved dog and I truly wish to make a necklace from resin with some of her ashes in so I can keep her close to my heart till I depart this world to be reunited with her as she was my world and I am unsure which UV resin to use and how to make it as perfectly as I can . I am not into big jewellery but I would like a tear drop shape with some of her hair and ashes in . I know it’s not the nicest of topics to speak about but any advice and help would be so greatly appreciated. Her name was Daisy and she was deaf but she felt everything and heard everything in her own way and she was the best of the best . Thank you in advance and I live in the UK . Sorry if ready this it has upset anyone .
