We could have our opinions on characters or stories But does your opinion on Sakura could be influenced by the anime (if you had watched the anime before the manga)? I say you this because the anime is a pretty awful adaptation of her and her overall relationship with Sasuke (clearly wanted by Studiot Pierrot for some reason) I had your opinion before, but when you read the manga rather than watching the anime. You can clearly see an evolution in their relationship during the part 1 of the story (for example in the chapter 36 who is changed in the anime) Even sasuke was never really indifferent toward her compared to what the anime show

Her whole arc was simping for sasuke and being the damsel in distress at moments granted she had her moments like keeping naruto alive when kurama was ripped out, she fought sacory and won with the help of lady chio and more but at the end of the day she has more cons than she does pros she didn't destroy obito's rinnegan when he told her too she only really liked sasuke because she was piggy backing off of ino she crushed and berated naruto's feelings for her multiple times, and even going as far as to try and fake admitting that he loved him and when we got naruto the last sakura had the nerve to say to naruto "you only loved me because you was trying to compete with sasuke for my feelings" like wtf? Compete where what competition was there between trying to win you over there was none he liked you before even meeting sasuke and you're one to talk since you only like sasuke because your best friend at the time liked him too and she saw him first also sasuke disregarded you until naruto blasted his arm clean off so how you gonna say there was a competition to impress you and win you over when really naruto was the only one who liked you to begin with maybe if it was with rock Lee than it maybe a different story and those two compete over your affection but I doubt it anyways since all she can think about is sasuke that's her whole arc her arc could've been better if she genuinely did get over sasuke and maybe even move on to someone else like naruto or Lee things mightve gotten better and we would get no boruto in the process bu5 my point is is that sakura is just so poorly written although she has her good moments but the bad outweighs the good

Sasuke didn't love Sakura until pre-Boruto so it wasn't abuse technically. Oh and technically I wouldn't count tenchi bridge arc because kishimoto wrote sasuke WAAAAYYY out of character, that sasuke would've never used kirin on team kakashi. Can't say about sasuke after kage summit because he was tweaking and that was perfectly in character. Not to victim blame but this is at least 90% sakuras fault for not just dating lee or some shiz.

Calls her pathetic and annoying when they're teens even though she says she loves him (it doesn't even have to mean in a romantic way) and then puts her in a genjustu because he wanted to. Y’all do not understand abuse. Let’s lay down the accusations 1. Calling Sakura annoying in part 1 Sakura was constantly being a brat to him because she was a twelve year old with an unrequited crush. Damn right she’s gonna be annoying, she’s a needy kid who’s being denied what she wants, how did this become controversial? And, Sasuke also happens to be twelve during this time. He’s allowed to be a little bratty in response to stuff he doesn’t wanna deal with. 2. knockout Sakura before leaving village She was going to get him arrested for trying to leave and the only way she would willingly not do that, is if she was allowed to accompany him to Orochimaru’s hideout. Where she would die a malnourished, severely violated test subject because anything she could do, he had Kabuto for. Anything that isn’t useful to Orochimaru is either experiment fodder, or just thrown out with the trash. And she was completely useless in part 1. Sasuke needed to silence her and he didn’t know how to use genjutsu at the time, so he had to anime karate chop her to knock her out. 3. Kirin at beginning of shippuden Sasuke had just survived an assasination attempt by Sai. Of course, he was too strong for it to work, but that spoke volumes of the fate that awaited him in Konoha should team 7 catch him off guard one day and drag him back. I believe he was just gonna use Kirin as an intimidation tactic, but it would’ve been completely valid if he just ended team 7 right there and then. Some things are worse than death. 4. Kill attempt at 5 kage summit Sakura’s entire character arc during this part of the story was about her preparing to KILL SASUKE. You read that right, not the other way around. Sasuke only tried to defend himself when it became clear that was Sakura’s purpose when she failed to do so. 5. Heart stab genjutsu before final throw down of shippuden Ok, I’ll admit that it was kind of a sick move with how hard he went with the genjutsu. This is the only time where I’ll admit that maybe it was just a little to far in regards to Sasuke’s responses to Sakura making herself his problem. But all the same, she was gonna try to get herself killed by going straight between two gods who were ready to bring out the hands. Sasuke would’ve had to do something to stop her from interfering, otherwise she would die trying to fight people she had no business fighting. Not to mention that she was still trying to get him to return to a village that had sanctioned the murder of his entire family, and would not be unexpected to use him for more uchiha babies before torturing and executing him, he had several valid reasons to try and make Sakura fear/hate him so she’d stop trying to bring him back there. Sasuke’s character was completely assassinated in Boruto so I won’t address anything that happened there. That is not Sasuke. Also, Sasuke is not obligated to return her feelings. Just as she would not be obligated to return his were their positions reversed.

@@LuciferArc1 Ms genjutsu isn't unbreakable, any person with great chakra control can break out of visual genjutsu. The fact that Sasukes genjutsu worked on her shows that it was a pretty powerful one. Also not all ms genjutsu are as strong as the tsukyomi.

in Sasuke's defense he was under the effects of brainwash, we get direct confirmation from the Sound 4 that the cm does that. Obito also employs this tactic when he is at his lowest which causes Sasuke to just wantonly start attacking anything around him. (before the 5 Kage summit it's even noted by Karin that Sasuke seems to take great pains to avoid killing anyone but after Obito has his way and itachi dies that all changes and she says she can't even recognize him anymore.) Sasuke goes through some shit and i don't blame him, it's like blaming someone for attacking you with puppet strings doing the moving for them. Like me and you aint gonna be the same after that but i wouldn't hate you. i think we disregard Boruto altogether, Sasuke isn't the only character who is out of character in that show. i don't think either of them were ready for a relationship even after Sasuke's atonement but especially because there is too much baggage in that relationship. in character i do not think Sasuke says yes, i think he denies her to make up for things he didn't mean to do for her sake as well as his. i also do not think he stops with trying to revive the Uchiha clan since in Boruto he pretty much gives that up, i also don't think he gives up on trying to reform the way the world of Naruto works just not aggressively. Both of these things were strong convictions his whole character had and in Boruto pretty much gives it up so for both of their sakes and more characters like them i do not consider that shit relevant. it's just awful writing.
