Allah doesn’t pray. The word “Salla” and “Salah” have multiple meanings. Similarity, the same root word is used for upholding kingship ties “Silah Al-Rahm”. When Muslims say “Oh Allah send Salat upon Prophet Muhammad”, Salat here means His praise of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in the high angels. This is the classic position posited over a millennia ago based on the Arabic language and Islamic scholarship. Additionally, Allah (glorified and exalted) raised the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in the night of ‘Isra and Miraj alongside the angel Gabriel (May Allah have peace upon him), furthermore raising the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ even higher, to have Him speak directly to Allah. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, however, did not see Him with his eyes (though this topic is scholarly disputed).
