Kalista on release was THE most dominant adc in competitive, riot tried to balance her for a while until they just nerfed her into oblivion. She remained in that state for a couple of years until she got the most recent changes that brought her to the current condition. So basically a similar situation with Akali's rework.

The only way someone could think her kit is broken is if they don't know what it does and have no idea what baiting or counterplay are. Only three ADCs have lower win rates in Master+, where people actually take the time to understand champions. Ezreal, who has the same winrate as Samira over all modes, is significantly, consistently better at higher levels of play. She's a second tier ADC, at best. People that think she's OP are exactly like this Mundane dude, feeding her and then fighting to her strengths from behind before going on forums to whine about how health pots are OP and Samira is overloaded.

This right here, it makes engages in bot lane too onesided. As someone who plays her a lot in norms, this right here is the main problem. Her ult is strong, but so are a lot of ultimates. Literally stun her once and she dies. Pick annie, lissandra, or tf into her and she can't play the game ever without QSS or cleanse. The way I would change it , is just remove the knockup cc addon of it. If all she did was dash in with her auto and that was it, it would be fine. But the CC of the passive makes it too op. Other than that, I would just make it so her E can't be used on allies. Imagine if qiyana could use E on allies, would be super strong for escape. Her ult doing a lot of dmg and having her 1 second W are necessary for her design which people don't get. If I'm building all damage items like an adc does, and have to be in melee range to do damage, I need something to help counter against cc and other attacks so I can play the game. Hence why yasuo has windwall and yone has w shield, same reason.

There's a bug with her W where if you use E immediately after pressing it, you can launch a free auto attack. This means she'd be able to ult in a little less than 1 a second with 0 stacks given a full rotation. AA -> Q -> AA -> W -> AA -> W -> R or Q -> AA -> W -> E+Q -> AA -> R (interrupt W) This is probably a bug since it fails around 23% of the time but play around with it in practice tool. Also play samira like a Katarina ADC, You don't have to go in to their team and ult instantly, because her movement speed from her passive is really useful. Samira can work without her ult already.

You can actually get the S rank even faster than that, though it works only if you already are in melee range. Your W has two hits in it. But you can E while in W. So if you do it fast enough, you can WE, which give two stacks, and then the second part of w gives a third one. You can also Q while in E, which means that you can WEQ and then hit the second part of W. Basically, you can do this : auto attack, WEQ, then make sure you are near the enemy to hit the second part of w, auto attack, press R. It takes roughly 2 seconds to do it.

Your runes and items can work, it's preference after all But the popularity and better players go presence of mind and rush bloodthirster or infinity and then the other, making you able to skip essence reaver early and going raw damage and sustain earlier in the game and still not having Mana problems, presence of mind definitely needs a nerf in the preseason and I think I heard that they're going to change something on that rune Deaths dance in total of healing is worse than bloodthirster, your ultimate and everything heals ALOT more with bloodthirster than with deaths dance, try it out on a training dummy, however the 10% can still be good in certain games where you want to survive burst Or just do it like I do and go both if the enemy team doesn't have many tanks or healing that forces you to go a lord domenics or mortal reminder Last thing, don't go coupe de grace or how you write it blindly every single game, cut down is a very good rune too, hell some pro players start cull and that 80 less hp already helps cut down deal more dmg to the enemy adc, also it's better vs tanks that you have to shred in the Teamfights, so yeah, just don't go could de grace every single game blindly

One way to balance would be to not consider hooks and grabs like those of Thresh, blitz and Nautilus as projectiles, since it it is and extension of them selves. But for those like lux, xtra and Yasuo should. Remove built-in life steal from ult but let it apply on hit at certain intervals. Every .25-.5. also remove the mini stun on her passive but keep the gap closer with firing.

Always go blood thirster first over deathsdance. Blood thirster has 20% life steal which scales with your ult and q. While deathsdance gives 15% heal from damage delt, which is different from life steal and doesn't scale as well on the ult and q

There's some weird claims in this video. Samira's W makes ranged CC useless? It has a near 30 second CD rank 1, and it's last max. It prevents enemies from stopping her ult? It's used very often to build up the stacks to be able to ult in the first place, though. I'm not saying Samira isn't pretty nutty, but it feels like this video is doing more of the "list champion's strengths and tsk" rather than actually offering a unique analysis.

I know right? People will just say a champion is broken, give almost no negatives to how she isn't, and just beg and complain the champ needs to be nerfed. And he even called stuff like Malphite an off meta pick, in a meta where there are a ton of AD champs. How is picking something to shut down a CARRY off-meta? It's not like Malphite, Malzahar, etc are mechanically difficult. If you use W to get stacks, you are extremely vulnerable during R. Any point click melee champs with point click cc can easily shut her down. She falls into pretty much the same categories as every other ADC, except she doesn't have the luxury of huge range. She still gets easily bursted because her two cooldowns should could use to survive are things she needs for style and have long cooldowns, she still needs items to do anything, and she still requires the player to position well and commit to damage when the time is exactly right. She's strong bot lane with cc supports early sure. But late game, she still needs to be cautious. ADCs are glass cannons, true and through. Solo lane, just pick anything like Renekton, Jax, Fizz, and there's not very much she can do.

ER is a fine first item but ie outdamages it significantly and let’s you go by second without destroying your damage, the only benefit you really get from the cdr on er is .4 seconds off of q, as your r is a set cd and your e has a reset. Her w cd is too long to get off more than once in a fight and cdr doesn’t really change that so she doesn’t really need it first item. Also DD isn’t good on her since her r is aoe and gets 1/3 healing from dd passive meaning she loses 5% healing when finishing the item from vamp scepter. If you need mr maw is incredibly good 3rd/4th item and if you need armor ga is very good on her as well

They could fix yasuo and samara tomorrow by making their walls work like Braums. Have it only stop full damage on the first thing to hit and then reduce damage on subsequent ones. Also Braums shield reduces damage but he can still be cc'd which would also be a welcome change to their propensity to just be invincible.

Yeah. Just played one for the first time this month. Forgot to ban it. Just blocked my entire kit with her W windwall and did 15000 dashes into R and killed me instantly while self healing her entire hp bar. That was a fun time.

-She has absolutely no basedmg, (0-40 on q, 0-20 on ult) -she barely has auto range -she needs to auto for ult -her ult is only 2.5 attackspeed auto autos for measly 2 seconds. -when she ults shell be in your face. treat her like a yi (cc and burst) -shes still an adc popping like nothing even with good lifesteal or whatever. -she has a weak lane with lacking basedmg, no sustain, small range. Gets countered by senna and cait and any dmg supp.

So you're telling me, within the first two minutes of the video, that her ult; 1. Has 500% ad ratio 2. Can crit. 3. Can be used while moving 4. Has no cooldown (Edit: effectively about a 6 second cooldown mid combat) 5. Is 100% effective with lifesteal AND THERE'S MORE BROKEN STUFF TO HER KIT? Even I, someone who hasn't played in months, could tell that at least two of these five things should be either completely removed or drastically changed.

Make it to where she cant dash during ult, her ult has a ramp up damage ( each time you use it within 60 seconds its damage increases but starts at a far lower amount), have her W be on a linger cooldown and have it null ranged on the first couple attacks and then halve incoming damage. Or have her ult be a scaling ult. It starts off incredibly week but for each champion slain by it it gets stronger. And remove dashing and halve movement while its being used

I honestly think Samira isn’t that broken, especially against certain champs. In the top lane champions that can stick onto her such as Kled, Renekton, Camille, or even Jax destroy her. She’s also countered rather hard by champions such as Yone or Yasuo once they get their items. Heavy CC teams also obliterate Samira because it basically negates her ult and all in potential. She is a stronger Kat with more flexibility but suffers from the same problems.

The issue isn't that she can't be beaten, it's that she's able to do her job so much better than existing champs, and actively combine the strengths of several classes without including their weaknesses. Name one instance where you'd rather play Katarina instead of Samira. Samira's kit is just flat out better.

@@NeoMaddy I mean Samira is a ranged champion so she’s automatically got an advantage, as for her weaknesses she shares weaknesses with several champions that do similar things that she can. CC negates her kit, and champions that are designed to stick to their targets also create issues for her. She is forced to either commit to the fight or run away, she lacks the mobility and escape to do both. Once she’s in the thick of the enemy team she is stuck there unless she or her allies get a take down.

I have two balancing ideas (no way of knowing how good they are, tho): 1. Blade Whirl only gets rid of projectiles on the initial cast, not over the full duration. That means that you need to save it for a projectile, rather than have the full protection for two seconds. 2. Samira gains reduced healing from self and allies during her Ultimate - the more damage it deals, the less healing she receives until it ends, to the point that you don't heal AT ALL during Inferno Trigger. That takes care of the overpowered synergy with lifesteal and gives enemies a chance to just kill her while she's spinning. It even fits with her character, as if her recklessness and hubris have her thinking she doesn't need heals. Besides, the Champion roadmap described finishing off teamfights with just a sliver of health left, which would definitely happen if you weren't healing at all.

Yeeeeah... At the end of the day tho, she doesn't feel like the kind of champion that can hard carry in the front line against 2+ enemies. Maybe she can 1v1 if an opponent gets caught away from any assistance but i feel that in any other scenario she'll still need some peel/protection.

I think it might be better to get bloodthirster first over deaths dance. Bloodthirster allows you to heal way more than DD, and with w combination of defensive boots you can still be decently tanky against the right enemies. I find that the defensive boots are better than zerkers grieves because of how she spell weaves with her q i find that you dont need attack speed as much as other adcs.

@@fuki999 Samira at level 7 with just a BF Sword and DBlade does 740 damage with her ulti, per target. That's a 1500 damage ultimate on HALF an item if it hits both bot laners. There isn't a single other ability in the game with that throughput.
