Bryan Lee O'Malley is one of the most fascinating people to me. I know he's an introverted guy, but there seems to be a deep rooted level of self-deprecation in there, too. Like he refuses to allow himself to enjoy his own successes. I met him once, as well, and he was super cordial to me and seemingly the rest of his fans, but you almost get the feeling just listening to him that he has some big regrets about how Scott Pilgrim turned out. Which is a huge shame because, like you said, every version of the SP story is solid gold.

The moral of this story is that you'd be surprised to know what inspires you and to know what works. Scot Pilgrim is a hodgepodge of ideas pureed in a blender and microwaved on the highest setting, yet despite that people love it for all the craziness that they got out of it. If an event in your life sounds like something from a video game or a movie, write it down. Perhaps someday, it will be something from a video game or a movie. Also, bread makes you fat.

Isn’t the Scott Pilgrim game also a Cult Classic too 3:27? I know both Scott Pilgrim Movie and Game had both become Cult Classics, hell even the original Graphic Novel Series that the Scott Pilgrim movie and video game were based on became a Cult Hit series. So wouldn’t those three formats make Scott Pilgrim into a Cult Media Franchise since the Scott Pilgrim Comic Series that started in 2004 became a franchise in 2010 which was the Scott Pilgrim franchise’s lucky year? There isn’t even a TV series adaptation for the Scott Pilgrim franchise yet, and I would love to see a Streaming TV series of Scott Pilgrim on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, or on HBOmax etc, maybe as an animated TV series or be a late 90’s 3D Video Game inspired CG animated TV series that’s just like that guest animated Adventure Time episode: A Glitch is a Glitch. I honestly miss the Scott Pilgrim franchise and it’s titular character so much already.
