FYI- Not to go on about this lame subject. "SEALS" use all kinds of different BRANDS of boots and shoes. That video you referenced, is about one particular shoe being used on the raid. Not that ALL of "Team 6" wore that particular shoe/boot.

These shoes hold up well on the trail and my pair has almost 250-miles of rugged trail on them. The toe box is small (my only complaint), but for me, it did stretch over time. Traction is outstanding under most conditions. And, while the shoes are NOT waterproof they are surprisingly water-resistant, extremely water-resistant.

I got these Vasque Juxt shoes in brown and black, in 2008, and only had to ShoeGoo the outside sole back on this March 2023, and they are still going. Great for light trail hiking, casual dress, and for pistol, and 3-gun shooting. My first 6 inch leather mountaineering boot was heavy leather Vasque, I used them for Outward Bound backpacking in 1980, and my brother used them for climbing power poles during his power lineman course, and they lasted me till 1998. Any light backpacking I use the 6 inch Solomon light synthetic boot, and for heavy backpacking, mountaineering, and ice climbing, I use the not sold anymore, Solomon Guide Mountain 9, I bought in 2000.

Yes, NSW wears those and many other brands of footwear. In fact, most of them wear whatever they want most of the time. They usually want a stiff midsole for heavy loads. My third pair of new balance 515 has lasted about 400 miles and I would say I can get another 100 miles out of them. In my opinion over the 1000 miles I’ve down this year the New Balance have been hands down the best shoe for walking. I didn’t include the Hi Tek boots I used last winter they lasted about 300 miles and could have went longer but I switched them out in the spring.
