Amen, Amen! It’s a hardship living in an Isaiah 5:20 world. I can only imagine how vexed Lot felt in Sodom. There seems to have been two big spiritual shifts, one in 2020 and again in a huge way~October 7th. It’s only downhill from here, for a season, but not forever. I’m glad to have rolled up on this channel of sanity, too, just plain common sense is refreshing.

there is a problem: unlike other groups, we can’t afford not being tribal to some extent, at least in certain issues. we just can’t afford it. because anti-Semites don’t really care about all these subtle philosophical nuances. all they care for it whether you are a Jew or aren’t. and if we want to survive, we must stick together and avoid backstabbing each other.

This is nothing new, one of the worst things in midrash I'll explain the final mistake that Pontious Pilate made that prompted his return to Rome that ended with his crucifixion. There was two families in the Galilee area at one point there was a falling out between 2 fathers the one who's child was getting married had uninvited the one who had the falling out was so very sorry and begged forgiveness to be allowed in the ceremony and feast after it. But the father refused saying no, and no amount of pleading was going to force his entry would allow him to acquiesce to his pleadings no matter how many tears. The one who felt slighted by the other went from sorrow and tears and sobbing to anger, not just a little anger, but a lot of hatred and even murder. But at that time if one Jew killed another the killer and his whole family would be crucified. The issue to them was go tell the Romans and get them to right the wrong done to them. He told the Roman guard about a wedding going on but added that the father of one of couple getting hitched were going to bring a mob of Jews to get rid of the Roman yoke. The Romans to quote Barney Fife nip it in the bud. What neither of those two knew was coming was the response of the majority of the Iscarious of which Juddah the follower of the Nazarene joined the fight that went from the back water areas through other locales to such an extent that it was a full bore insurrection that ended so many lives. You have to understand at that time for all those different people they were doing as they felt was right. But as they say, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. I remember my Rabbi was telling this midrash and explained that his main prayer was that Jews who were Liberal or Conservative or uninterested religiously would always unite for the good of ourselves as one people. But as what actually happens at our time we're dealing with people who can be apathetic towards one or the whole. The one thing I've noticed is that Liberal-Progressives are more than willing not only to be apathetic towards one group or the whole. Whether it is because of them being paid off, or because they feel that religious Jews are considered something to make fun of or as with some today for, in the Liberal minded, using Torah to desire a homeland. They feel that, as the Extremists feel, that we've taken over something we want. Which is exactly the same way it seemed to me of the ones in occupied territory during Shoah that felt we brought the Holocaust upon ourselves because they believed the lies of the perpetrated that great harm upon ourselves. Something on both counts which it seems like somebody has taken, maybe out of cowardly reaction towards a threat thinking siding with the enemy will save them from the destruction to come. As in the Second World War one of the things that a sage said about that time was if you want to see where the world will be heading watch what happens to us because it's sort of like the barometer. As in the case with WW2 it was the most horrific in terms of lives lost. Most notably civilians of which German civilians. I've heard a lot of assumptions from different professors of History that the powers that be of the Allies had decided complete and total warfare against Germany because of the way that they had reacted to the way the world war one end and how Germany the country itself wasn't touched by such things as the bombs or the killing that the idea was we have to make Wars terrible as possible to quote General Sherman. War is hell, it should be so terrible that the thought of war would make those people think twice or thrice before making that mistake again. Or because of the bombings of civilian targets in London and other locales in the UK.

I bought 2 of Gabor Mate’s books a week before October 7th and was looking forward to reading them. However, soon after October 7th, when he was interviewed time after time, and kept blaming his mother for giving him away for “6 weeks” to protect him during the holocaust, it sickened me. Also the inaccuracies and lies he spews at the same time claiming to be a “holocaust survivor” just sickened me. I took both books, put them on my barbecue, and burnt every last page. How can one read a man’s books that speaks so cowardly against his own people? I will not let him or Finkelstein waste 1 more second of my time. They are using their Jewishness as a platform for fame. Shameful!!

I think this panel is aware of the difference between a good faith debate on Israel or criticism vs outright slander about Israel. I admit to being a Jewish former anti-Zionist but i didn't have a clear idea of what that meant (on the Left), so i was a 2SS guy who believed the story that nuclear-armed powerful Israel was preventing the 2SS. So i was steeped in ignorance about history, lies about history, lies about Israel, slander about Israel, lies about Palestinian desires and long-standing animosity and evil plans to annihilate Jews. I knew almost nothing about this, but i didn't want to end Jews or Israel, just for Israel to be willing to share the land. I didn't know that the Arabs REFUSED to share land. I didn't know the narrative i had was Goebbels propaganda appropriated by the KGB. My thinking held the conflation between Israel and (for example) the ill-advised and cruel US invasion of Iraq, sold as a humanitarian mission to help Muslims, after bombing their cities and even a bomb shelter. I enjoyed the praise from nice compassionate Leftist peers of being the token Jew FOR PEACE! But more than any attention, i enjoyed being what i believed was morally correct. In reality, i was captured by "political correctness". I could say more. One more small point: i DO NOT agree that Jesse Lee Peterson is anti-Black. I think he's opposed to "pro-Black" nonsense and the Liberal White intellectual fawning on ultraviolent ghetto Blacks, and the blaming of Black internal problems on White outsiders, the turning to White saviors who are simultaneously denigrated for still having Whiteness, a denigration they often gladly embrace, and inflict on other Whites. Cultural Revolution, Cultural Marxism, against Whites and against Jews, same thing. Peterson challenges that, albeit in a sharp manner without false intellectual caveats.

Not because he hates Black people but because he loves them and wants to shake them out of a narrative of victimization that is destroying their communities.

There is no such thing as "cultural Marxism" it was a term invented by the Reich to slander Jews. I'm sorry that you can't seem to see that much of the rightful criticism of the corporatized neo-left is STEEPED in anti-semitism to this very day. That is one thing both the right and left have in common (besides hating women like your friend Peterson) they also hate Jewish people.

To be honest The fact that Jews disagree proves how amazingly aligned they are to the principles of democracy, the rights of the sovereign individuality, the inability to group think. I actually think it adds to the respect of the Jewish people, so I wouldn’t worry about it so much. It proves the point of the low consciousness of the Islamists or other antisemites . Jews should be proud of themselves. And thinking differently from each other is a super power. Pro Zionists Jews should use this as a way to demonstrate how amazing Jews are. The first question should be, do this people identify as Jews and what place, if they identify as Jews, there Jewishness occupy in their psyche. If someone identify as communist 1st and foremost, as middle fingerstien is, then obviously they don’t consider what they feel as “self hating”. We have plenty of other examples, Trotsky is coming to mind. Chomsky has been traumatized as a child for his Jewishness. He was systematically beaten by catholic boys, when he was walking by their school, to elite “central” HS in Philadelphia.

Self-hating is essential for communism. National socialism (fascism) aims to achieve collectivism by alienating the difference, as their collective is based on tradition. International socialism (communism) aims to destroy a whole system in order to rebuild it as communism where everyone is equal Fascist collectivism aims to eliminate difference, whereas communist collectivism aims to eliminate your identity (destroy the identity of a society to create a blank canvas, like Mao did during the Cultural Revolution)

Sophistry is the use of clever but false arguments, often with the intention of deceiving. It involves the use of seemingly logical or persuasive reasoning to defend something that may be inherently flawed or unethical. The panelists should simply assert that the State of Israel is infallible, regardless of whether it is right or wrong rather than confuse listeners with the use of trying to match up people and their opinions with labels to rubbish those ideas to present a discussion based on t labels rather than the arguments given.

I am not Jewish but I do read the bible and Jewish commentaries about the Torah portions each week along with the Jewish community. From what I understand, there is a group from the time of the Exodus from Egypt that are called Evev Rav. It seems they may be the ones who through unbelief in the God of Israel and thus do not believe in the covenant God made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob work to undermine the success of the people who actually believe in that covenant. Much like Esau, they have descended from the line of Abraham and Isaac, but lost their "birthright" because it does not mean anything to them because of their unbelief.

Yonatan's subtle statement implying the ones who protest for an immediate release of the hostages, are operating against their country is absolutely outrageous. The majority of Israel is against Netaniau, believeing he has huuuge part in whatever happened on October 7, by empowering hamas, literally for the past 17 years, and of course in the passing year in which he tried to make a coup. Soooo trying to present this picture in another way is not only faulty and devieving but also delusional. If you are actually for israel, you should be against Netaniau. Any sane person would understand that.

Is that what he was referring to? If so, then I totally agree with you. I thought he meant those who march against Israeli treatment of Palestinians and/or some kind of anti-Israeli stance. The marches against Bibi are justified. He was involved in Rabin's murder and has always been a war monger. One day, he will need to be brought to justice for his crimes. I thought much of what the panel said, other than that, was spot on.

I'm afraid that's what he meant, yes. In any case, I agree with you. I came across this video, not knowing this channel beforehand, and I was curious about the content. Indeed I agree with 99.9% of what's being told. However I get the feeling that some of the people in this panel don't want or simply can't face the enormous elephant in the room. Which is the unprecedented amount of responsibility that this government, and Netanyau in particular, have on the state that we're currently in. Unfortunately, antisemitism almost always existed and always will exist. And like the sea it has tides. Nowadays post Oct. 7th, and the current atmosphere, Jewish hatred for long time haven't been that far from being a taboo. Unfortunately the current Israeli government doesn't help much with that. And that's a huge understatement. Long story short, we can keep blaming this self-hating jew and that one, and it's all true. But eventually if we don't uproot the source of the problem, which is an insane power-driven, corrupt dictator who takes the Israeli nation as a whole in captivity, then we will never be able to bring hope and change for the future generations. This is where everything begins and where it ends. Had I been wrong, we wouldn't have faced the most horrible times Israel had ever faced since its establishment. It happened under his control, following 17 consecutive years of his various governments. His responsibility.@@soleknight3212

The reason Israel gets picked on is actuall ybecause of the racist view of people about these other countries that don't get picked on - because they unconsciously know the other countries could never be expected to act this civil. That is why the US and England get criticized. He's non-practicing and anti-Israel and a complete mystery to me. He won't even answer questions about it from any angle and so I'd hoped to get a glimpse into what might be sitting in there from you, and what I have is more questions. Thank you for pointing at the same spot that would lead men to be anti-male radical feminists and homosexual men who hate gays... I do think there's a valid comparrison and possibly an answer there. Yonatan. Your question is the best one asked. What do we mean by Jewish? Here's what I think of when I consider that question. Ethnicity first. Religious second Tribal not at all unless it is in the context of the 12 tribes of Israel. Also, here's what I never think, despite what some shithead says about non-Jews. I never think antisemetically. That's about as stupid a thing as thinking in racial terms when considering a group. Jews are people. They are as varied in all of life's pursuits as people from any other group. Lastly, this nonsense from self-hating Jews like those mentioned is something akin to Rand's take on altruism. Malignant Altruism is what I'd call it. Much like malignant narcissism it satiates a need for self-affirmation to the point of obtaining it even at the expense of an altruistic offer of denigration of the group one belongs to. And yes, it is nuianced.
