I found most teams struggling this split were constantly changing comps. Most teams seemed to be testing on game day probably due to scrim quality and realm being in the mix. Good vid as always J 👍

Yeah also in terms of comps this season was definitely the most dramatic shift. Class system and beacon changes threw a lot of things off. Many old things no longer worked. Valk being the 1 trick for rotations and circle info benefitted way too many teams

The Seer RNG at least will be toned down because the ulti no longer works with Cat Wall. Watching these losing team videos is showing me that actually fun Comps like Wraith + Crypto and Wattson + Crypto just to have a stupid Legend run around and get a 20 second ESP hack if he doesn't get RNG taken down since he is bad at escape tells you something.

One of the things that I think EVERYONE even pros forget is the fact that "meta" is very rarely necessary and in fact the opposite of what you want to do some of the time. One of the biggest examples was FURIA back when the dominated. FURIA played hard counter for the meta and it worked. One of the things I've realized is that a cat isn't necessary in the seer cat meta, only Seer is. You just need to counter seer cat and when a team sets up the combo on you, you just throw down your own seer ult and completely counter it. A bit of a rant but it's VERY important to realize that playing off-meta is the way to go a lot of the time.

playing off meta is fine if you can play your own game/playstyle. in a straight 3v3 most of the time the meta will win because of better team fight abilities. in a contest a meta comp will win, in a set up fight the off meta might beat, or keep up with the meta.

The only real counter to seer-catalyst is seer-catalyst...so what do you mean play "off-meta"? I only saw pros try with rampart when Realm was around but I don't know if they will actually use it

Playing meta is okay if it plays to the strength of your POI. But yeah, better play the comp that maximizes the strength of your POI.

One of my biggest problems with the introduction of the new changes in season 16 was the ring consoles. It hurt crypto a ton, it hurt the crypto Wattson early rotate comp, and it forces teams to have to use a control legend to get ring knowledge which I hate for both ranked and algs. My solution would be to allow any legend to hit the ring console, and create a new control passive.

Thats why they called control legends and it helps the pickrate a lot for legends like caustic and rampart for casual players. For competitive i dont think crypto was one of the better choices since his drone is his whole identity and most used in apac north to counter all the wattsons so the importance is still there. Im not a fan of every legend being able to use the ring console either and rather would ve none but if u should be able to scan the zone then only with a new survival item. Giving access for a feature to every legend seems to be contradictory to the whole point of the game where some types of legend have specific roles to fullfil

Rambeau didnt retire, he just quit on his team. I mean, boo hoo about meta changes. The best players adapt and overcome. Seems like all most Apex "pros" do is whine and complain. The state of the game right now is because of Respawn listening to the less than 1% of its player base and ignoring the majority of normal players that actually help keep this game afloat. Without casuals, this game has no pro scene.
