@@AyeJHawk i would also love that, but if you make an NRG video you'd have to mention how NRG lost 4 grandparents (sweet lost 3 and nafen lost a grandpa) as a team collectively during the split, the team got devastated by personal losses and finally picked it back up towards the end. Gildersons revealed this in a recent interview after NRG placed 1st in the oversight playoffs, the fact that they qualified at all after losing so many loved ones is nothing short of passion.

Oh, such a good analysis! Especially loved that statement at the ending of the video: OpTic doesn't need to totally switch comps, dropspots or even parts of their roster (all the people crying for Doop to be replaced frustrate me to no end). They were once the most dominant fighting team, literally 2v3ing other pro-teams together. It's not like they just lost all their skill, they just need to play to their strengths again. Anyways, great job on the video.

You are right, they are actually still great at taking 3v3 fights which is evident in the recent qualifier matches. However, they didn't achieve those 3v3 with the seer and horizon comp but it was a different one. I think it may have been bh+horizon or bh+bang where they killed two teams easily in one of those games. IMO, the team has to find a comp that compliments all of them as rn doop is left out in the dust as he isn't performing great as a seer.

Great video! I was noticing this too when watching OpTic. Doop always lag behind skit and knoqd when they are pushing. Its like they are not in sync with each other or hesitant. The only team who is doing better and absolutely abusing the current meta (HSV) is TSM.

The meta really shifted into playing to the extremes, zone teams have gotten better at zone by playing uniquely defensive characters like Wattson, Newcastle and Crypto. edge teams have gotten better at playing edge by using Seer and Horizon. (even maggie now) Optic have always used the flexibility of the Gibby Caustic to be able to quickly swap from edge to zone by abusing valk ults. now that their old comp is just weaker on both ends, they pretty much are in a worse position no matter where they are running gibby caustic. The must've realized this and thats why the swapped, but the approach the game hasn't changed. Edge teams can't just swap to playing zone anymore, they need to abuse their fighting capabilities and just kill everyone in their way/on their side of the map. the best edge teams almost always KP in every single game because of this strategy. Additionally if once they get into endzone they end up with a nuclear amount of kills and placement. Optic's teamfighting is strong enough for this i believe, but the position relative to LG and TSM makes this extra difficult for them.

Yup it’s hard to immediately fight LG if you know TSM is lurking nearby. And TSM is rather unpredictable because sometimes they play zone and other times they play hard edge. I’m hoping we get some sort of Seer nerf soon cause if so Split 2 could be very very interesting

So the actual amount of coaches that are out there is probably super limited. Not a lot of people with that mindset or experience who could do what Raven has done. But Optic is a tier 1 org so I Hoe they can get one!
