Fun fact- lobster used to be poor people food until the rich decided it was fancy. They are far from the best tasting shellfish, which is inarguably a type of artic dwelling crab. But, shhh don't let the rich know.
@samanthabeaz67978 ай бұрын
My Newfy dad did all sorts of fishing from the time he was a kid, before our area of the island even had electricity. He was a teen when the marketing kick to turn lobster into a luxury food was at it's hight. In just a few short years their pricing went wild for no reason other than these gourmet marketing campaigns in all the well to do cities of the mainland. Sadly the barrier to entry was very high for selling lobster, so small time fishermen like dad couldn't even take advantage of the boom. He still trapped lobster, but for his own family and to trade with friends. My parents would can dozens up with white fish every year, it was a staple at our table and in our community.

It’s literally an exact copy of Splendor and the Explorer, but guests still come on and say “We’ve been dying to see this one, it’s SOOO much better.” what’s crazy is we’re nearly sold out every cruise. We play special parties for people who’ve spent 200, 500, or 1000+ nights on Regent. Also I’ve seen the same guests come back multiple times during our contracts. It’s pretty common for couples to be on for months at a time. No idea how people afford it but they’re making two more Grandeur class ships in the next 4 years so something must be working lol.

Fun fact: last year a man died from a heart attack on a Celebrity Cruise. The wife wanted to de-board and just fly herself and his coffin home, but the cruise employees told her it would be a nightmare to get his body home because they were out of country and told her they could safely store him in the morgue. They kept him on a pallet inside the walk in fridge for six days, but didn't consider that "refreshing soda" temperature is different than "keeping a human body preserved" temperature so he was very decomposed when they got to port in Florida. When she tried to seek compensation for the distraught of seeing her husband green and bloated and decomposed and also losing the opportunity to have an open casket, the cruise line said they couldn't be held responsible for her being upset about her husband's death and the widow's grief was not their problem.

How? Density. Anything with density bigger than water's will sink. Now how on earth is a ship less dense than water? Air pockets. There is a lot of air pockets in the ship, that makes overall density smaller. Now, why density does that? Density, by definition, is mass / volume. Most of the times kg/m³ (SI unit). Less density means there's LESS MASS per SPACE. Which means, body with less density has more non-occupied space, compared to one with more density. Hope I made the topic more clear, thanks for reading that and all that, have a great day!

Fun fact: I was on a cruise when this video dropped and it was a truly horrendous experience. If I hadn't been guilted into going by my parents i never would've went but now I know for certain that I'm never doing it again.

This is not even close to funny, I didn’t even come close to cracking a chuckle. I urge you to reconsider your life choices after commenting this. This was one of the worse comments I think I’ve ever seen and extremely unoriginal. Whenever you get in this platform please never comment again, nobody wants to hear it. My life has changed after seeing this and my day is officially ruined.
