Did Shanks save Luffy or did Shanks just protect the Devil Fruit from being absorbed by the Sea King like Big Mom did? Or did he just protect the Fruit because of the effort to acquire it knowing its significance. Did he protect Luffy not because of Luffy but because of his expectations from a matured Fruit? Was the Straw Hat just a goal to attain. Return it if you can. If you can't, then you haven't become a great pirate. Shanks showed no interest in finding Laughtale. Did he find it already? nah, Roger's body was defiled and decapitated and put on display. Just like real life Pirates were. And Roger's Sword was given to Imu. Imu picked the Sword and put it among the Rest in the Throne of Swords. This was Imu's Victory. The World Didn't Change. Shanks knows the Secret of the World. He knows about Imu's existence. This is why even Akainu is fearful of this. Because many people in the WG have come to the realization that the One that Rules the World, actually Hates the World. And his goal all this time was to destroy the world. But not exploding it or destroying it the conventional way. But by dividing the people and make every hate each other and distrust each other. This is the way Imu wants to destroy the World. Because only when nobody trusts anyone, it is when he will have complete grasp of the world. Where you not only control the territory but also the people. That is Imu's Dream.

Years ago, Oda said that a certain red hair was about to make his move. A lot of time has passed, and we only saw Shanks in the Gorosei meeting, where he wanted to talk to them about "a certain pirate". We kept wanting for more, like actually seeing Shanks fight someone, but I think that that was indeed Shanks's "move" that Oda talked about. Many people thought that the pirate was refering to was either Luffy or Blackbeard, but I think those are too obvious answers. I think that the "certain pirate" Shanks talked about was Buggy, and that that conversation has a lot to do with Buggy's current status as a Yonko. Why or how, we don't know. But if I were to guess, I'd say that it was a strategic move by Shanks: to get the WG's attention to Buggy at that time.

Curiously, just today, before reading the chapter, I was thinking to myself that Shanks could also "fight" Luffy for the One Piece. He's been portrayed as a protector or something, but he's still a pirate and a Yonko, so I'd think he'd like to find the One Piece himself. Regarding the chapter, the way he says that "it's time to get the one piece" seems to imply that he already knows where it is, and that timing was a requirement for going to go get it, as we've been inclined to believe too. The manga is indeed going into its final saga, 25 years after. Crazy.

Ashura doji death is more meaningful when you see it in the anime. Kinda fucked up him dying especially to kanjuro but with his background where he came from, he couldn’t take the disrespect to Oden’s name/legacy more than any of the scabbards, you could tell he held Oden to certain regard a little bit more in a certain kind of way. ***THE "RAGING," NEXT CHAPTER OF ONE PIECE*** Next chapter is a "raging One Piece festival." (my guess for the title: "Raging Justice") That is, according to the letter written by Oda before his break. It was smack dab in the middle of the letter. He says "at the end of my break, there'll be a raging One Piece festival," does this mean he's throwing a festival before going back to work?? OR Is this a chapter hint??? "Raging," that word might have significance if this is the case. It makes sense too, we left off with a festival in chapter 1053. Also it was very "raging," indeed. However, raging could mean a few other things. It could be Admiral Ryokyugu's aspect of justice (i.e. Akainu's sure justice, Aokiji's lazy justice, etc.). His aspect might just be "raging justice," and this is what I predict the next chapter will likely be about. We get a lot more info on Admiral Ryokyugu and he's probably likely to crash the festival. He seemed very pissed off and the way he ran through King and Queen seemed very wrathful and "raging," also the way the plants grow behind him and around him in a "blind rage." Then there's a 3rd thing, this festival could go from happy-go-lucky, with a "raging" feeling, party your heart out, festival. Then it takes a small tragedy to occur. Then it goes to a "raging" mad with wrath, angrily uproaring, bloodbath festival. If Green Bull shows up to the party and decides to kill someone (probably Kinemon finally, hey his back was turned in 1053, that's another sign), people are definitely going nuts. One of their heroes was killed in front of them while they were trying to have a good time and enjoy the freedom they haven't had in years. Otsuru was right next to him with her back turned too. She could also get killed or be first witness, and if she's first witness, she could "rage out," in agony. Excuse my dark thoughts, I'm talking about "rage," though, so I have to get a little dark with it. I just can't help but feel like this next chapter is gonna be "raging," in some way. It might even have another thing in it too, like extra info about Pluton. Any drop of lore from Oda could cause "raging," internet theories and discussions. The fanbase will go nuts with just this alone, and we wouldn't even have to have the bloodbath. Any way, this is my prediction of chapter 1054, it'll be all about "rage."
