i work for a pro basketball organization, i was on the court during the practice and i asked the media director out, she said we could do it any day as long as it wasnt a gameday, i mentioned monday, theres not a game on monday, she said she wasnt sure because she always has tuff to do after the night practice, I said "well, we'll figure it out some other time then" and i turned to leave, she said "well, where would we go?" I named the place and location and she started saying "ok, we''ll go, i love that place" at that very moment as she was talking, a ball went astray our way, and I walked like four steps away from her to get the ball, she left the scene, she called one of the players and went on to talk to him, which was weird to me, but i left it that way, there was no definite date. a few days later at work during lunch, she kept hinting that she wanted something sweet to eat, she wanted me to take her to this place, but it wasnt just the two of us, there were four of us, so i didnt say anything about dates that day, a week later, last saturday she told me that she wanted to eat something sweet, and that i should get her something for the next day because I was losing points with her, so on the next day I asked her to go out after the game, there was no internet connection at the arena because the company that provides the internet was having issues, I am in charge of the IT department but I could do nothing about it, so she told me that she would have no problem going out after the game if she had internet to do at least a part of the press note she has to issue after every game, I told her we would figure it out later then, after the game she messaged me, letting me know when she got home and saying she was just sitting in fomt of the pc to write the note. I didnt try to reschedule then, because i was gonna be real busy the next couple of days and also theres another girl in the picture, so i decided that id just wait... five days went by and I texted her after anothe game, when I got home, asking her when was she free to go for Ice cream, she had mentioned Ice cream herself before, she said we could set something up, but the basketball team and her other job, are sucking the life out of her, i have more than one client too and i still make time to go on a date every now and then. I decided to tell her "well, it's better if you let me know when you are available" she said "sure! i will let you know, I wanna go for that ice cream and she used emojies" I tried to end the conversation but she kept trying to talk, I took long to repy to her txts and she fell asleep, she answered again the next day at 5:50 am and when I woke up I said "alright, have a nice day take care on the road" the team was going on the road and she was going with them, she said "you have a nice day too, thanks (several emojies)". Sometimes I feel like shes jerking me around, but then again she tries to keep conversations up, and messages me when she gets home and stuff like that, sends me voice notes, etc... what do you think?

carlos c you have already messed up by hesitating twice when you had an opportunity to set a date and time, you'v taken your offer away and put it in her hands now so just wait until she contacts you, and when she does make sure you set a date and time and if she can't agree, just say okay maybe we can do it some other time and just forget about her because she isnt really that interested at that point, carry on with your life and date other people, if you see her then smile and say hi, but don't stop to have a conversation, and when she reaches out to you again via text (which she probably will) or brings up anything related to food/icecream assume she wants to go on a date and set a time, if shes flakey again you should probably just let it go.. but if you really like her, then just keep repeating this while keeping the conversation shorter each time showing disinterest and that youre getting bored with her bs, in a none rude way

and dont worry about other people being in the room with you if she brings up something date related just set a time and date, if you avoid the conversation when she brings it up just because other people are there you're communicating weakness

also you need to stop messaging her and having casual conversation like that, thats probably why she isnt agreeing on a date because why would she when you're constantly giving her your presence whenever she feels like it, if she messages you when she gets home reply the day after, after work, and ask her on a date

10 years on and 7 time’s listening through the audiobook, I came across this situation with a woman I’m seeing. I looked this video up as a refresher and in real time it saved the situation and led me to a confirmation of the date for tomorrow with her suggesting places to eat close to my place… Coach and his method can’t be understated.

I asked “jessica” what her availability was like, and she said a day when she was available so I replied with the time and that day to meet up, she said she was fine with it but would have to make sure about getting a hold of her baby daddy’s to make sure she’d be available. In which case I told her that we could just do it another time when she was sure of her availability and to keep in touch. She replied with “oh okay, i will.” Obviously she didn’t seem too enthusiastic to make definite plans, this means that her interest is not high like I would like it to be. I’ve been messing around with 5-6 and this one is definitely a 10 in my eyes. I should know that just as easy as these other girls are making it for me, she should at least make some effort, I know I have to wait for a response but this also means I have to move on cause she is snoozing on me. What do you guys think?

How about this: a woman I went on a date with recently says “We should do this again sometime” before we parted ways and within 30 minutes of leaving each other, she sends me a song we talked about over dinner. I got straight to the point and asked her when she was free to go on another date the next day by proposing a time, day, and place. She told me she was busy that day and I didn’t bother to respond. Then she texts me asking me how my day was going. How do I deal with a woman who is pursuing me but when I circle it back to the date, she says she’s busy or avoids it entirely? Right now I’m not responding to her until she gives me an answer that’s about meeting up next. I’m reading your book right now as well, but figured I’d cast a net on here since I haven’t heard a case similar to what I’m dealing with. Thanks!

I'm in a similar situation right now where I was making a definite date, but she's unsure of her schedule, so I told her to get in touch with me when she figures it out & she agreed, so I left it that. My point is if she told you she'll contact you, you obviously let her do that.

There's a total contradiction in what you are saying, if you phone and the woman won't make a definite date, you say' lets do it another time' but THIS surely is vauge and beta, how does this resolve anything, you STILL don;t know where you stand! Then you say to wait to weeks and repeat .... If she doesn;t want to see you , SURELY you should just WALK AWAY AND NEVER LOOK BACK. You can;t have it both ways surely? I agree with not accepting the ' Lets wait to verify' , you want a definite date.

They never contact you and you didn’t waste your time with a tire kicker girl with no interest Or 2. Im dealing w a structured woman with a religious background that is young and lives with religious parents, this is an interesting case but not sure how to approach it, we most often make definite dates but it was at the expense of my schedule because it worked best, but I took my schedule away and this created more friction in setting dates, anyways making an evening date w her is a hassle becsuse her parents treat her like a kid 😅, I accidentally agreed to a maybe date over the phone she kinda pulled it out of the hat almost like saying “99% its on I just have to confirm it w my parents” and I was sleepy and tired so it took me off guard, im thinking I should take away the date since she left me on a maybe, and ask to reschedule as this is not behavior that I like? But also I already agreed to it so not sure what the best approach is, I prefer to not go back on my word, and when the date approaches if she hasnt cancelled, I guess its fine and if she has friction with her parents for us to go on evening dates she would have fought that battle and we could set up more dates like so
