These are awesome earplugs! Very inexpensive. My piano technician recommended them when I started learning to tune pianos. I’ve got a 1906 Mason & Hamlin AA, and I’ve measured the volume at 90-100db with he lid up and music rack off while playing scales at a moderate volume. You don’t realize how loud a piano really is. These plugs are vital! Great video. :)

Yes, I measured the decibels on the piano in the video and it measured at around 93 db.

Ich nutze seit über 30 Jahren Ohrstöpsel. Allerdings habe ich ganz einfache: aus dem Baumarkt!

You could use the really cheap foam earplugs, but that will only block the sound and will make it more difficult to hear what you’re actually listening for.
