Mr Shabir Ally says Muhammad was a humble person but calling one type of people the worst of creatures and calling his people, Muslims the best of creatures is not humble. The problem is by quoting the shaddah is saying Muhammad is Allah's messenger, that is making Muhammad a partner with allah. Why cant Muslims be devoted to allah. Why do Muslims spend more time glorifying Muhammad more than allah himself. The pattern of ultimate and admirable conduct is in a sinless person who performed miracles. Muhammad performed no legitimate miracles. But according to the bible and quran Jesus Christ did.

The key reason for considering Islam is whether it is true. It may be popular, make sense, make one a better person, or offer brotherhood, but if it is not true, then it is in vain. Examine the claims of Islam and their foundations and consider if they are historically accurate, and if there is evidence.
@KevinBanks5122 жыл бұрын
Agreed. What did Jesus give us in order to distinguish the Truth? He said "Beware of false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit". Muslims are the ones who give the most to charities, according to multiple studies. They fast, they pray, and they are amongst the most generous people in the world (although they are not the only ones and although they have, like every tree, sick fruits amongst them). Islam in a nutshell? "Pray Allah/God/the Creator alone, and do good deeds to purify your soul". This religion bears good fruits of course. A false prophet/obscure forces would have no interest into bringing this religion... "And it is not the devils who have brought this Quran down, Neither would it suit them, nor they can." as God says in the Quran...

@@KevinBanks512 You make an excellent point, but it has no bearing on whether Islam is true or not. Hindus are also very generous and Sikhs feed many a weary traveller. Muslims may be the most generous people on earth, but if the claims a of Islam do not stand up to scrutiny, then it is of no benefit. Likewise, Christians may not reflect the character of Jesus, but if Christianity is true, it is worth all the world. Jesus also said in John 14:6 "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" That is the beauty of Christianity, salvation is a free gift go Yahweh, and is not earned.

@@LaboKariuki brother Christianity is a true religion like Islam. But it got distorted and that's the only problem. Islam is introduced to guide the people deviant from the teachings of Jesus(As.). Our God is the same. Those who were true Christian before the introduction of Islam will enter into Heaven. If you see from scientific point of view, Qur'an is definitely God's word. It was revealed upon Muhammad(sm) who was an illiterate man. So, its impossible for him to explain scientific facts. In Qur'an, its mentioned about 1. Whole embryonic development process 2. Big bang 3. Female bees gather honey 4. Male gamete is responsible for the gender of offspring 5. Expansion of universe 6. Moon doesn't have the light of its own, it reflects the light of the sun 7. Cosmic dust creating new things 8. Psychology 9. Romans will win against the Persians. Persians were one of the strongest nations and it was nearly impossible to defeat them. 10. Oxygen level goes down when we go up 11. Fossil 12. Brain anatomy - role of cerebrum in motivation, planning and aggression 13. Oceanic division 14. Oceanic depth and internal wave 15. Relativity You may find more in the future. Moreover, the poetric level of Al Qur'an is in next level. It has miraculous ability to attract the listener. It soothes our heart when we listen to it and gives a divine pleasure. Indeed rememberance of Allah glorifies our heart. It is impossible for Prophet Muhammad (sm) to invent the scientific things and also create such a wonderful literature as he was not a poet. It was not even possible for people at that time, too. 1400 Years ago there was no telescope, microscope, etc. These facts are proved recently. Now, if we look at bible, here you find the prophecy of a guy with wonderful character which matches with our Prophet(sm.) and he is the last prophet. None of the features of anti-christ match with Muhammad (sm). So, we can get to know about Muhammad (sm) from bible, too even if the book is distorted. If you look around the world, Christianity, Hinduism these religions have become almost dead. People are trying to become secular, feminist, nationalist, liberalist. These things contradict each and every religion. Only, Islam is alive as Muslims are abiding by the traditional rules which are enacted by Allah. Indeed, Islam is the only truth. May Allah guide you.

I would strongly suggest that you firstly read the Quran in its entirety, then move on to some of the better-known & more reliable hadiths. If you read them all in any reliable English translation, you should not have trouble understanding what they are saying. After you've done that - you may well have questions, because Islam does have some very unusual teachings which are contrary to many of the teachings of Christianity in the Bible. There are also certainly teachings & commands to followers in the Islamic scriptures (comprised of both the Quran & hadiths) which seem very non-peaceful in their nature. Dr Shabir Ally in the above interview really only covers some of the very basic & more superficial reasons as to why people should consider Islam. And some people do convert to Islam with only that very basic & superficial knowledge of the religion. But I would encourage people to fully read & investigate ALL the Islamic scriptures before considering conversion. Many western converts to Islam do actually end up de-converting, after they later become aware of some of the stranger & less acceptable (to them) teachings of the Islamic scriptures & also learn in more detail about the actual life of Muhammad (the "prophet" of Islam). Islam & the Quran itself do say that the teachings of Islam are applicable for all people in all times & all places & the teachings must be taken literally/at face value. So if there's a teaching that somehow seems strange or not right - you can't just say that that is how things were back in Muhammad's time, but it does not apply now. Or the meaning can't just be somehow twisted around, to make it mean the opposite of what the words actually say. To leave Islam after having converted to the religion, is to become an apostate - & in Islam there are very serious punishments for those who apostacise. So before someone converts to Islam - I would recommend they read both the Quran & the more reliable hadiths in full, so that they are fully aware of all the beliefs, teachings, & commands of Islam - even those which may be less acceptable in the eyes of most westerners.

I love this channel and it's amazing content 🇸🇦🇸🇦👍👍
I agree that if people already believe in the god of Abraham, because they are either Jewish or Christian - then it's true that in theory at least, some people say that they believe in the same god as that of Islam - because they are all said to be "Abrahamic" religions. So those people who already believe in that god, may certainly be encouraged to consider Islam. However, the god of Islam (as described in the Islamic scriptures of the Quran & hadiths) & the god of the Jews & Christianity as described in the Bible, often seem to be so vastly different that it is hard to believe they could be one & the same god. Even some of the well-known Bible stories, when re-told in the Quran/hadiths, get some aspects of those stories incorrect - which is hard to imagine, when those stories would have been very well-known, by the time the religion of Islam came along 300 - 400 years after Christianity. But for people who do not already believe in the Abrahamic god - perhaps they are atheists/agnostics, or people of other non-Jewish & non-Christian faiths - I don't think that it's quite as likely they would be as easily convinced to investigate Islam by the thought that they already believe in the same god. Nevertheless, I think many people may wish to investigate Islam just out of sheer curiosity - in order to find out for themselves first hand what the religion believes & teaches - because that is not always obvious just by watching those who follow the religion themselves & some followers do not always practise certain things which may actually be taught by their religion. So if one really wants to find out what the religion believes & teaches - it is always best to read their holy scriptures oneself - rather than just relying on what one of their followers may tell you - because sometimes they may not be able to give you the correct & official answer - because they may not know their own scriptures sufficiently well. So I always believe in going straight to the religion's holy scriptures to find out what they believe & teach.

Dr shabir,I want to make a comment, you were born in Sunni sects of Islam, so you are not Shia, and you don,t have so much knowledge about Shia religion, I am Shia obviously.if you born Shia ,you would defend the family of beloved prophet Mohammed peace be upon him. I hope you get my way of thinking and I have another comments for you. Ashia the wife of Mohammed,daughter of abubaker Sunni called her mother of believer. Why I don,t believe that. First she waged a war against Ali the husband of daughter of Mohammed and the first person who became Muslim ,second who is better to be mother of believers. Khadijah the first woman who became Muslim, who spend most of his money on behalf on Islam , the mother of fatemah ,daughter of Mohammad , or two highest women in paradise, khadejeh and fatemah. Who you should consider to be mother of believers. No Sunni put their daughter name Ashia not Khadijah, not fatemah. Who is prejudic here. Shia or Sunni. How many men name Ali or Hassan or Husain in Sunni sects. I am very concern about double standard here. I have no prejudice. I follow what Mohammed said and I love to obey him Allah willing.

Salam dr shabbir and the team. I have been following you for a very long time now,may be i am among the first few pakistanis who followed you . Question arr being raised over some of your views like in many issues u choose to follow the path which would satisfy western rulings than conservative muslims e.g u dont agree with chopping a theif's hand. Actually there is a youtube channel "farid responds" who puts such stuff about u online. Kindly respond. Your viewers are in confusion.

@@peterhwang1860 there is no conflict between islam and modernity, it just so happens some muslims are in conflict with modernity. Believe it or not islam happens to be in its dark ages at the moment just as christianity had. This is due to political and historical factors. I like Shabir as a fellow huma. He is very a humble guy, but let’s be honest: he doesn’t really believe half of the things that he says!! He knows the S.I.N has holes in it!! Therefore that’s why he’s a Quranist now!! I don’t say that to disparage the guy, but he knows he cannot historically back up half of the things that he says!! True, but not with the same accuracy. Even Babylonions made predictions, few were right, but the vast majority were wrong. The fascinating thing about the Quran is that there is not a single verse in the entire text that can proven false or inaccurate. Take for instance, the Quranic verse regarding the explanation of the embryo in the womb - what a marvel!!(Search it up, and see for yourself)

@@mirza_saabb193 When Quran does not even have any evidence, mathematical equations, images, etc, then what is there to debunk? First of all, the evolution theory as of today, has "debunked" Quran. But clerics won't agree, and twist their words to justify Quran. Science is not taught like that. Of course there can be many speculations in Quran that may match with modern science. But that does not make Quran unique. Many other ancient scriptures have something or the other matching. Even the VAISHESHIKA school of Hindu philosophy had predicted the existence of ATOMS.
