The Day of Ashura
وعن ابن عباس رضي الله عنهما أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم صام يوم عاشوراء، وأمر بصيامه‏.‏
‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was asked about observing As-Saum (the fast) on the tenth day of Muharram, and he replied, "It is an expiation for the sins of the preceding year." [Sahih Muslim]
Ibn 'Abbas reported that when the Messenger of Allah fasted on the day of 'Ashura and commanded that it should he observed as a fast, they (his Companions) said to him (ﷺ) :
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), it is a day which the Jews and Christians hold in high esteem. Thereupon the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: When the next year comes, God willing, we would observe fast on the 9th But the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) died before the advent of the next year. [ Sahih Muslim 1134a]

I watched your playlist about Muharam and i am so shocked how you can talk about Muharam and specifally Ashura day without even mentioning the martyrdoms of Imam Hussain a.s , tha beloved grandson of Prophet Muhammad pbuh and The leader of youth of the Paradise. You studied Islam, you studied History, you know very well that this tradgedy has made our Prophet cry and devestated (before it even occured). As a teacher its your duty to make your students aware of facts truthfully.

There is no way however any lover of Rasulullah S would celebrate the day his beloved grandson was martyred along with the massacre of so many bani hashim and the imprisonment and humiliation of the women of the holy household. Even Rasulullah S cried for Husain on this day

Masha Allah, thank you for the informative video, however, It is good to know. First, The Muharram was the first day of the year in Jaaheliat time before Islam, so, that was the opposite of the prophet's order which was Rabi ul Awal. Second, Muslims are not happy with Muharram because of the assassination of the Prophet's nephew (Hossain) in Muharram for making celebration, although some Muslims are just happy with Kholafa and money and do not care about Rights/Haggh and Mohammad's descendent (صلی الله علیه و آله و سلم) honestly. ( يَوْمَ نَدْعُوا كُلَّ أُنَاسٍ بِإِمَامِهِمْ ) الإسراء : 71. Who is your Imam? Yazid or Hussain? (Celebration or Mourning) (Due to the murder of Hussain on the Ashoora day, 10th of Muharram)

Fasting the month of Ramadān was made obligatory (wājib) during the month of Sha'bān, in the second year after the Muslims migrated from Mecca to Medina. So , fasting ashoura preceeded the obligation of fasting during Ramadan. Are you sure that fasting the day of ashoura belongs to the true Sunna? Thanks.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Husayn is from me, and I am from Husayn & Allah loves whoever loves Husayn" Ashura is a major event for all Muslims that the holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) grandson Husayn(as) was slaughtered for having stood up for truth & justice against oppression & tyranny with alot of his family against Yazeed. Please do not underestimate this sacrifice as it was done for the sake of Allah(swt) to Keep the holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) Islam from being hijacked from it's Prophetic authenticity. This truly is a universal message that unfortunately a lot of Muslims & other people tend to ignore or merely overlook sadly hence not truly benefitting from it's divine spiritual essence. However by disacknowledging Ashura, I feel would be a real source of displeasure & disrespect to the sanctity & pure love that the holy Prophet Mohammad(saw) had held in high esteem for both his grandsons & grand-daughters.

You mean that the Jews were more knowledgeable than Rasulallah صلى الله عليه و اله و سلم, who received 'wahi' from Allah??? ٍSometimes they say Musa عليه السلام was rescued that day, sometimes they would say that Pharaoh was downed that day ! They just don't want the public to remember that Imam Hussain عليه الصلاة و السلام IS THE LEADER OF THE YOUTH OF JANNAT and He was unscrupulously martyred on the 10th of Ashura. Imam Ja'far Al Sadiq عليه الصلاة و السلام the greatest scientist of all time and the Imam ul Fuqaha, declined the fast on Ashura, because the enemies of Ehlul Bait عليهم الصلاة و السلام celebrate that day fasting rejoicing at the massacre of Karbala !

The bible says put away ashura ? As it is an idol ? Just heard this..Please examine as God was upset of this..please be certain to examine i ask you...after hearing this in the gospels.. I came to look up what he was talking about on this issue..that God was upset they were worshipping false idols to see what it was...that had destroyed from one man sinning on this..considering all this latest stuff going on which was probably planned still it says put away ashura..is there another one ? I don't know..i will go back to get that scripture for you..Thank you. I'm very concerned of the people so trying to search out what is going on..please double check this..has concerned me to report what i just heard..double check me on these scriptures on this ...Praying we get all of this stuff and watch out for each other out here..just double check it...I'm no scholar but had to check out who ashura was that said God was angry at isreal.....i think God is supposed to be love but here we are trying our best to help the little people out here...to get us all Going to no harm of thy brethren..out here.
