Keeping the passion is important. I think driving yourself with annalitics is almost pointless unless it's like reviewing every 10th video or something lol.

I like the part about ai generated content not being a risk, i totally agree. i review ai tools but i decided not to use them for my content. i'd rather be authentic and talk to my audience in a personal way, which was a big challenge for me, but worth it!

I had a problem for a few years now. Everytime I worked on a new video I got extremely stressed over how long it took to make and I was missing deadlines and burning out mid project, which lead to me a few days back when I realized I don't need to bother with deadlines, I can work at my pace and not care if it comes out next month or next year and it allows me to get way more creative. I make anime video essays so usually I would throw in random clips in certain parts to speed up the process, but with my newest project I often find myself making illustrations to be shown for just a second or find different way to represent something than just hoping an anime has a clip that fits.

It's the same with music. It takes way longer than a couple of weeks to finish a track. It would be impossible to keep to the 1 video per week pace that is recommended and I've felt a huge pressure over that. But then... I think it's more important to create stuff you can enjoy and be proud of instead of keeping to someone else's schedule.

I just told myself today (after making a Short that didn’t take off like I thought it would) that I’m done with KZbin. I’ve poured so much time and made so many sacrifices just to hit a wall again and again. I’m married with a 1 year old at home and I work full time so it’s just a lot right now. But thank you for the encouraging word. It’s funny that this video popped up on my feed today of all days. (Also, be encouraged, my channel only has 77% like/dislike rating 😊)
