Also, really important to wear sunscreen. You don’t want your skin to look like leather when you’re 50-60 years old

Should be noted that they can’t really be used on windy days, especially if you have side walls put up. Even with 30-40lbs on each leg, you risk the canopy sliding around and hitting a vehicle. Can’t tell you how many times I’d had to quickly hold a canopy in place to stop it from hitting a vehicle I’ve been working on

I could not agree more. I even have one that comes with 4 strips of LEDs to improve lighting. It has made my small garage into a big professional space because what couldn’t fit in the garage not sits under the canopy. An excellent reminder of the simple things. Lloyd

Yes, I keep procrastinating this. I have the canopy and my thoughts are to have a contractor come out drill and put Threaded Inserts (some call them Red Heads) in the driveway in front of garage. Then we can temporarily bolt it down and my son and I can extend our Sunday wash/detail routine instead of racing Mr. Sun...

Great video and not just from a detailing tips stand point but from a health stand point. I was working outdoors in direct sunlight for 9 hours straight and the issue of skin cancer came across my mind.

I'm very glad you guys touched this subject, because as you mentioned it doesn't get talked about enough. We use bought a 20×20 canopy from ABC canopy and were able fit just about every vehicle possible including big trucks. We also don't ever detail without our spf 50 long sleeve shirts when we're mobile. Amazon has it all so it's really easy to find anything you need. Thanks for the content.

Glad TRC is covering the importance of pitching a tent! Will there be a how-to video next?

Me and direct sunlight don't get along. It fries my baby soft pale skin so a canopy or some kind of cover is essential when outside detailing. I usually wait for shade at my own house.

The sun can really affect your Job when it comes to Detailing a car in direct sun light. Water can dry very fast and stick to car, The soap can as well, us as Detailers suffer and most annoying part is you Cleaning an Interior and sweat dripping down do to how hot it is. So over all any tent or Canopy to help block the sun will make you more comfortable and your job easier and come out even better.

Yes, yes, yes! Sun is cooking the paint and yourself, it is summer in Texas and shade is my first need to touch any vehicle. Problem is finding one tall enough for trucks to slip under and easy to setup. Levi, it looks hot so is the hoodie a way to drop more pounds, FAST?

Canopies still allow direct sunlight to hit you from all sides so it might be in your best interest to clip a couple white sheets across the sides with strong clips and also don’t forget to use sandbags to hold it down firm in high winds otherwise your customer’s car will get slammed potentially. Best of luck out there!

I would love to find a tent that is actually easy to open up with one person The tent I have now is difficult to actually lock the corners into place . The pushing the last few inches really hurt my shoulders . In my Twenties it would be no big deal. But that ship has sailed 😂

In my case, tropical sun and/or rains also comes with windy conditions.... so, forget that... and forget detailing altogether. Me and my car would love to have shade and protection in the driveway....

I have a 10x20 that takes a good long time to set up and almost impossible to move around. I have a Colman 13x13 that works better but obviously does not provide as much shade. Keep in mind the set up time and the fact that most tents require 2 people to set up. They look great in a video all set up, but they are a lot more work.

Can someone please let me know the model of this canopy in the video? Levi Mentioned in the Q&A Pod that the brand is a Coverpro from Walmart. I have had trouble finding it. The sides are arched, which gives extra clearance. I am in South Florida, and need to pick one up A.S.A.P. Thanks in advance.

Tough when your truck is 7 ft tall. Haven’t found an affordable canopy that can fit my 22ft long 7ft tall truck.

That's why several of my friends call me BATMAN because I do Detailing during weekends or week days during nights and I only sleep for 5 hours, yes it is odd but it is something that happens since I was a baby and Wednesday's I have to sleep in two sessions where I take 2 hour naps during the day.😉😄
