Luke Roberts is such an amazing person and actor, no debate whatsoever. This is going to sound like absolute blasphemy, but I'm legitimately shocked to say that I may actually prefer remake James over the original. As someone who has dealt with depression, I think he absolutely nailed it. It's not necessarily being "sad", but just feeling mentally "numb", as you said. It's funny how everyone was saying James seemed too emotional in the reveal trailer, but ironically, they've addressed that so incredibly well, that dare I say the original James was actually a bit more emotional at times than remake James. Either way, Luke Roberts knocked it out of the park.The reason why Silent Hill 2 it became a classic is because eventually people began to see how unique, eerie, melancholic and authentic the game's atmosphere it really is, and took the time to enjoy its deeply thoughtful narrative and symbolism. The soundtracks of SH2 are so Iconic and Divine. 🎶☯️🎶To this day it’s by far one of, if not the most mature examination of grief, sexual trauma, suicide, and morality all combined. It’s an intelligent game that does not hold anyone’s hand and comes at the player with utmost confidence in itself. It’s fantastic stuff. The rest of the original 4 are great in their own right and have their own well written stories, but they don’t hold the same emotional weight to them. I think SH2’s maturity by comparison is something that a lot of people are drawn to. ☯️

I actually like the Silent Hill 2 Remake better than the original because Ito was able to implement his whole vision in the remake with the PS5 hardware something he couldn’t do with the original PS2 hardware limitations according to a Famitsu interview.
@Sav-vid7 күн бұрын
Me too!! I do love the original a lot, but it was so cool seeing what became of stuff like the abstract daddy fight which feels much more grand and emotional, or just all the time we spend now on the town itself before getting to the apartments, I really liked it!!

@@Sav-vid gotta say im impressed with your English -- it's better than most native speakers 😅🍻

Are you french, by chance? You speak relatively fast but have a bit of a drawl at the end of some words, especially when one of the last two letters is a vowel, especially on 'e'. For me personally, it makes it harder to listen because you speed up and slow down a lot. I think taking your time a bit more and speaking a little more slow and calm would make it sound more cohesive and some people may have an easier time listening. You're making a long video, so take your time narrating. The overall quality is lovely.

Hey thank you so much!! I'm actually from Brazil and yeah the accent when speaking English comes off pretty strong, it's by far the thing that I want to improve the most on these videos haha. I've been trying for the past few uploads to speak slower and enunciate stuff better, but it's pretty challenging, so thank you so much for the advice!! It means a lot!!!

@@Sav-vid It is much better in the section on Angela, because you really take your time there. If you could take this time everywhere I think the result would be much more consistent.
