Woohoo! Yes, technically PBD does not need base, but for longer wear and a more flexible finish, adding a layer MSB is good.

Just check with your state board. Some will not let you store dirty implements even with your clients name on it. Or use a dirty file, even w/ your client’s name on it.

Thanks for sharing Paola. I wanted your opinion. I've recently got into Kokoist, but I've been using The Gel Bottle for their colors soft gel overlays so I have a lor. If I use Kokoist base and top coat with a different brand of colors, do you think it'd be okay?

If it is a true gel formula, with a little more viscosity and pigmentation it should be ok. Hybrid gel like OPI, Shellac, Gelish just do not wear the best in my opinion.

I know that this is a fake hand but do you also nip the cuticle as well ? Or do you push them back and file at cuticle portion of nail plate?

Is it possible to cap too much? Like too much gel under the free edge? The gel underneath pops off first, then inevitably, the free edge gel lifts off.

Can you also do the scrub method up near the cuticle as well?

Sure, but the cuticle lifting usually has to do with invisible-ish cuticle left behind.

Before this goes live I am going to take a guess: you will recommend dry removal and application! No water to rinse off cuticle remover, for example. This is one of my biggest challenges.

Kokoist builder gel goes over a layer of base (Mega Stick Base). It does not have adhesion component on its own. Only color and/or nail art go over the Kokoist builder gel.
