Lived on Broadwater Road and went to Northumberland Park School. 😁 Sol's defection to Arsenal is the biggest betrayal in English football history. Maybe in the whole of football worldwide. 😂🤣 But the Spurs board have to take a large slice of the blame. The summer before he left, the board should have given him an ultimatum. Sign the contract or be placed on the transfer list. I believe Manchester United bid for him in the January prior to his free transfer. But yet again the board didn't act. The only other situation that comes close is United losing Pogba for a nominal fee, buying him back for a record sum and then losing him for free AGAIN. 🤣😂🤦🏽

I'd be willing to bet that the vast majority of transfers are covertly initiated 'against the rules' long before any official approach is made.Tapping up is prevalent,a part of the business and don't work if the player tells the truth,which they seldom do anyway.Besides players come and go,it's the club you support not the player and as a supporter the more pertinent question in my mind would be, why do players want to leave my club?,especially home grown talent.
