8:28 Minor correction, the prototype that was considered to be included in Mega Collection was the Tokyo Toy Show prototype that was VERY different to the final game, not the version pictured that was way closer to it but with different Zone aesthetics and such.

So there was 2 different prototypes for sonic 1? That’s very interesting. I had no idea about this and only knew of the pictured one in the video & assumed that it was the one that was originally gonna be in one of the older collections since I didn’t think that the game had more than one prototype. 3:45 I beat sonic 1 when I was 6 years old , after being ''game over'' many times for several months. The game did not turn me away (it improved my gaming skills). Kids in today's generation don't have patience.

I get you, but this is because kids of this generation are experiencing games very differently compared to how we experienced them many years ago, that’s why a no lives system is non-existent even in newer platform games

With regards to additional content, I’m somewhat hoping for some Sonic Movie 2 tie in content. That could take the form of 2D stylized Movie Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles sprites or an exclusive zone based on a major set piece from the film. I feel like as a kid, being able to watch the new movie and play as that version of the characters would bring a new level of immersion to the kids playing.

Definitely! Especially after finding out recently that the same people who made mania (minus Christian Whitehead) are also working on this collection
